Lady Louise Windsor is the eldest child of Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Prince Edward. She is not often seen out and about, but today she joined the Royal Family to attend a Christmas church service. She wore a special jewel that is thought to have belonged to her mother.

She looked smart wearing a long tailored navy blue coat which was pulled in by a tie at the waist.

Lady Louise kept her coat on, but underneath the neckline of a matching blue dress peeked through.

Royal women will often wear a hat or headpiece to church and Lady Louise was no exception.

The 19-year-old wore a navy hat which had a matching bow around it.

Her curly blonde locks were pinned back and loose down her back.

Unlike her mother – who wore a head-to-toe tonal look – Lady Louise did not appear to carry a bag.

Her jewellery could be seen clearly, including drop earrings and a notable silver pendant.

It was in the shape of a heart and is one that the Queen’s granddaughter has worn on a number of occasions.

This includes at a trip to the Commonweath Games earlier this year where the necklace attracted the attention of royal fans.

Twitter user ‘CoutureAndRoyals’ posted at the time: “#NEW Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor looking absolutely lovely today at the #CommonwealthGames.

“She is wearing a dress from her mum The Countess of Wessex’s wardrobe and the same heart locket necklace she wore at her grandfather Prince Philip’s Thanksgiving Service.”

The Tweet gathered hundreds of ‘likes’ as other royal fans showed their appreciation of the look.

The jewel is thought to have been a gift given to her mother in 2014, when Lady Louise would have been just 11-years-old.

The necklace choice is poignant, not only because it had been worn for prominent royal occasions, but because it belonged to the Countess of Wessex.

Other social media users commented on the overall look and praised the teenage royal.

“She really is a lovely young woman,” wrote Twitter user ‘Edie Lorenzo’.

‘Just Marilyn’ added: “She’s adorable… Bravo Lady Louise!”

‘Els Barneveld’ replied on Twitter: “She absolutely is a beautiful young woman!”

Others commended her on her seemingly thrifty outfit choices.

‘D Good’ stated: “She’s a confident young woman who doesn’t need to wear an outfit costing more than most people’s yearly salary.”
