SHELLING out on Christmas presents is expensive enough.
But having to buy wrapping paper too makes the festive season even more financially draining.
So one woman has shared a genius way to save on wrapping paper – by using Primark brown and red striped paper bags.
"Primark brought out bags again this year," Fiona Spriggs wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.
"Free wrapping paper and gift tags made out of Primark bags."
People were quick to praise Fiona for her clever idea, with some admitting they'd already tried the hack.

"I used mine as parcel paper and it was thicker than my usual roll," one wrote.
"I was surprised as it usually rips with my buy in.
"Will now use for presents too!"
"I posted a few gift for my Granddaughter who lives abroad," another added.

As someone else wrote: "What a brilliant idea! Two uses out of one item and can be recycled after that’s a win win!"
But others insisted there's one major issue with Primark's paper bags that would make it difficult to use as wrapping paper.
"As long as there's no torrential downpour, or you've overladen them," one wrote.

"The downside of paper bags is that they're not waterproof, and they're fragile."
