Duchess Sophie steps out in ‘perfect’ £90 dress from Reiss on Balmoral Estate

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, 58, is currently enjoying her summer holiday in Scotland, where she is staying at Balmoral Castle with many other members of the Royal Family.

On Sunday, the Duchess was driven by her husband Prince Edward, 59, to Crathie Church where they attended Mass.

Also in the car were Edward’s older sister Princess Anne, 73, and her husband Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, 68.

The Duchess of Edinburgh was seen smiling in the car while re-wearing her Fallon Wool Blend Roll Neck Dress from Reiss.

The £198 product is still available to buy, however, it is currently on sale for just £90 making it an absolute bargain for royal fans.

The dress’s description says: “The Fallon is an update on our most-loved Jenna dress, crafted from sumptuous wool-cashmere yarns and designed with our signature ruched sleeves.

“The roll neck lends additional softness and warmth in the cooler months.

“This design fits casually on top, then hugs the frame around the hips and thighs for a flattering wear.”

To accompany this dress, the Duchess wore a long-sleeved coat in a darker beige colour and tied her blonde hair into a low ponytail.

Sophie wore her Reiss dress once before – at Princess Kate’s “Together at Christmas” Carol Service at Westminster Abbey last December.

At the time, the Duchess paired her dress with the Custodi Coat in Beige from Max Mara, which she has owned since 2019.

Its description reads: “Easy-wearing design, high-calibre fabrics and attention to detail set Max Mara apart, with the Custodi coat exemplifying all three.

“Woven from supremely soft virgin wool, the unlined silhouette falls gracefully to an ankle length for a vintage-inspired presentation, while double-breasted buttoning adds a further traditional touch.”

For this outing in 2022, Sophie finished her sophisticated look with terracotta brown boots, a wide belt and a complementary leopard print clutch bag.

Royal fans were thrilled that the Duchess re-wore her Reiss dress for an outing on the Balmoral Estate this past weekend.

Twitter user @Remisagoodboy claimed Sophie’s dress was “a perfect choice for Balmoral”.

Royal fan @Mari_Edinburghs commented: “Always a perfect choice! I just love this dress.”
