Fashion fans are horrified by the £23 kitten heels in Matalan’s new range – some reckon it's giving major 'nan' vibes | The Sun

A FASHION enthusiast has shared her honest thoughts on the new autumn range at Matalan, which she reckons is giving 'nan' vibes.

The shopper, Ash, had popped down to her local Matalan store to check out the homeware collection when she spotted the new clothing.

Mortified by what she had stumbled across on the rails, the customer grabbed her phone and decided to document the items she'd seen – and needless to say, Ash wasn't particularly impressed.

''I've just come into Matalan because their home stuff is elite and I thought while I'm here, I'll have a little look at the clothes.

''Matalan or Matanan – because what the f**k is going on?'' Ash was horrified in the video.

One of the finds, for instance, was a maxi dress with a Bohemian print in neutral colours that was scanning for £23.

The store, she revealed, had paired this with a cross body bag in cream, as well as a ankle-cut booties in brown.

Ash went on: ''I also thought I'll have a look at the PJ section, can't go wrong with PJs, I thought.

''I thought wrong – because what in the f*****g boot-cut flares is going on here?'' she described the stripey bottoms in the new collection.

Whilst shopping – or attempting to – Ash also had a look at some footwear and here, unfortunately, she spotted a pair of the infamous kitten heels.

Needless to say, the video, shared on Ash's TikTok page, soon took the internet by storm, leaving people in stitches.

Viewers raced to comments, where one chuckled: ''I’ll let my Nan know Matalan has some banging peices[sic].''

Even an employee was confused by the new range, writing: ''I work in Matalan and I have to say some things in there are very questionable.''

''Matalan is the shop I can’t fathom out why ,hasn’t gone into liquidation like so many other better high street shops ? Who shops there ?'' a fashion fan was baffled.

''The range this year is TERRIBLE. Got so much good stuff last year. I was highly disappointed,'' a former fan added.

However, not everyone reckoned the fashion collection was a flop, as some claimed to be fond of the styles.

''I don’t think it’s that bad,'' one shopper said.

''If Matilda Djerf [a Swedish influencer] wore those PJ bottoms people would love them. I think the first dress is actually quite boho too.''
