Beauty fans are going wild for a new lip balm that they say gives you the effect of fillers – & it's just £10.99 | The Sun

MAKE-UP lovers are in a frenzy over a new lip product they reckon gives you the same effect as pricey filler – and it's selling for £10.99 on the high street.

The INKEY List Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm, which is available at Boots, is formulated with a Tripeptide complex – and this is what will boost fullness over time.

According to the budget-friendly skincare brand, the lip product has been ''clinically proven to increase lip volume by up to 20 per cent in just two weeks and 40 per cent in four weeks''.

In fact, the plumping qualities have been so effective, The INKEY List's co-founder, Colette Laxton, has even had to deny lip filler accusations after sharing a clip the brand's Instagram page.

Chatting to MailOnline, Colette hit back at the trolls: ''I can categorically deny – I have never had any work on my face or lips at all – I am too scared of needles!

''I was shocked and quite amused when I saw the reaction; however, at The INKEY List, we pride ourselves on being transparent – I would never want to hoodwink people.''

She went on to add: ''I have always had thin lips, and this product has been such a win for me personally – my four-week journey was genuine – I have the date stamps on my phone!''

As well as being boosted with the Tripeptide complex, the lip balm also contains hyaluronic filling spheres, which create a plumping effect iseconds as they expand on your pout.

What's more, beauty lovers will also be left with the on-trend glossy finish and a soft, healthy pout – mwah.

Colette explained that unlike traditional lip plumpers in the market, this ''multi-tasking balm'' helps to maintain the skin barrier, as well as retaining moisture – and there are no unpleasant tingles involved either.
