Meliz mixes the ingredients into a smooth paste and pops her boneless, skinned chicken thighs into the same bowl.
After coating the chicken in the paste, she suggests marinating for a minimum of four hours or preferably overnight.
“Pop them in the fridge and forget about them,” she says.
It’s then time to soak your skewers in water – “You don’t want them to burn while they cook,” she warns.
“Then skewer each marinated chicken thigh onto those four skewers one at a time as it’s much easier to do it that way,” she continues.
Meliz suggests leaving a little bit of space between each chicken thigh so that they cook evenly in the air fryer.
