Grandmother slammed for ‘ridiculous’ haul of gifts for baby’s first Christmas, people say he’ll get bored opening them | The Sun

HOPING to spoil the new baby of the house, a grandmother went all out when buying her grandson’s Christmas presents.

The heaping pile of goodies, however, wasn’t well-received by the internet.

In a TikTok video, boy mom Michi James (@mjbex) recounted her son’s first Christmas on earth.

And while her whole family seemed to be excited about the milestone, many viewers thought their parenting approach wasn’t the best.

“Only grandchild’s first Christmas,” Michi began.

She filmed her newborn wearing a festive onesie that read, “Who needs Santa? I have Nanna,” likely referring to his grandmother.

The camera then panned to a massive pile of toys, clothes, books, and accessories laying on the floor beside him.

There were cardigans, shorts, stuffed animals, books about trucks and dinosaurs, pajamas, and puzzles.

Although Michi lovingly captioned the clip with a #spoiled hashtag, some viewers didn’t think that huge haul was a good thing.

“Sorry I don't want to be a negative Nancy and I mean no offense by this, but this is ridiculous. He is a baby and will never remember all of these things,” one person wrote.

“Don't be offended when the baby gets over unwrapping after the second gift,” another noted, with a third echoing, “Overkill.”

Others, however, encouraged her holiday spirit.

“You’re doing a great job and so is his grandmother. Ignore anyone who says otherwise and don’t ever apologize again for treating your own family the way you want to,” another reiterated.
