I created a stunning Thanksgiving centerpiece using paper bags and a fallen branch, I can't wait for my family to see it | The Sun

A HOME décor fan has created a stunning Thanksgiving centrepiece.

She was applauded by her fans for using a more organic approach to home decoration.

Her simple yet effective idea used paper bags and a fallen branch.

That was all. The stylish idea came from The K Wendy Home (@thekwendyhome).

"It was perfect," she wrote, "for your Thanksgiving table or on your mantel for that perfect cozy autumn feeling."

She has 493,000 followers on her TikTok, where she pledged to "have an adventure at home together.”

Wendy's legions of fans have been drawn to her wholesome approach to home décor.

It was no exception to this post. One fan described her fall decoration idea as "magical."

Wendy was thrilled: "This DIY is so easy yet so impactful." The execution of the decoration was so easy.

First, she traced out the outline of a leaf on a stack of paper bags.

This was then cut out, producing the raw material for her centerpiece. Next, she crumpled up every individual leaf.

Then, painstakingly, she hot glued each one to the branch.

The delight with the finished piece was evident on her face.

“Install it over your dining table as a floating centrepiece," she suggested.

“Or place it on your mantle as a beautiful fall installation." She was looking forward to unveiling the artwork.

“I can’t wait for my family to gather here for Thanksgiving this year."

But she did urge caution if lighted candles on the dining table were positioned under this artwork.

“Remember, safety first," she said. “You need a three-foot clearance between an open flame and any object above it."

But there was an alternative that did the job just as effectively: "You can always use battery-operated tapered candles as well."

Commenters thought it was gorgeous.

“This is so cute though," said one.
