I found a camping essential every mum needs to pack – it gets stains off quickly and only costs £1 | The Sun

A MUM has revealed the essential camping item she packs on every trip in the wilderness.

Daisy Woods, who describes herself as ‘your virtual mum BBF’, explained that the Dr Beckmann Travel Wash is a must-have to effortlessly clean up accidents.

Taking to her social media account, the doting mum shared a clip of herself putting the product to good use.

“We’ve had such a nice day,” she told viewers. “We’ve just come back to the holiday home to freshen up…”

She continued: “Today I want to talk about washing clothes when you’re travelling.

“Something they always have on or near campsites are big, communal wash blocks so you can wash stuff by hand.”

Mum-of-two Daisy said they also have laundry places so you can use a washing machine, adding that it usually costs around £4, while the drying machine costs roughly £3.

However, the mum confessed she doesn’t tend to do laundry while they’re away. Instead, she brings the £1 Dr Beckmann product to use for accidents.

“We’ve already had an accident, so I do bring this stuff,” she explained, holding the Travel Wash up for viewers to see.

“It’s one to two teaspoons in warm or cold water and then you just wash it out by hand. It’s so warm today that I think it will dry really quickly.”

She went on: “I just wanted to share that because I think when you’re travelling with kids, these are the logistical things that make life a lot easier or more difficult if you can’t do it.”

In the caption, TikTok user @muddlethroughmummy added that she was on a press trip, where she took her family on a self-catering camping holiday with Eurocamp.

She then asked people in the comments if they ever wash their clothes while on holiday.

One person replied: “Yes, but often where we go people will leave a euro or two for the next person as like a bit of kindness so it’s not as expensive”.

Another shared: “No, I always pack enough whether going abroad or staying in England.”

While a third shared: “I did a quick hand was beach night when my son was little – we used to go away for 2 and a half weeks in summer. Just his stuff and stopped the last four to five years.”

There are loads of campsites in the UK, and some of them even come with a twist as they have roller coasters, festivals and tobogganing.

Mendip Basecamp in Somerset, for example, has archery, a snowcentre and axe-throwing.

And Pentewan Sands in Cornwall has paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and bodyboarding as well as an amusement arcade and kids' play area.
