A YOUNG man has revealed that he got his council flat at the age of just 18 and decided to give it an epic transformation.
Connor Skelsey, who posts on TikTok under the username @connorhardyx, explained that he got a one-bedroom council house, but it was in need of some serious TLC, so he took to work and gave it a very modern transformation.
He shared his clip with the caption ‘What a ride it’s been 🏠’ and posted videos of the home before the work and then compared how it looked after he had worked his magic.
To start with, the house was very plain, with no paint on the walls or carpets on the floors.
The plastered walls definitely needed some TLC and the home needed some personality injected into it to make it feel a bit more like a cosy home.
Connor gave his bedroom an insane upgrade by applying a gorgeous striped wallpaper and some smart new flooring.

The bathroom was also in need of a makeover, as the purple walls were looking a bit plain and outdated.
Connor put up a modern tiled wallpaper to a couple of the walls and painted the rest of the walls white – giving it a mega modern look.
When it came to the kitchen, Connor made sure to completely transform that too.
Originally, the kitchen cupboards were looking very dated and plain.

Connor took out the boring white cupboards and instead put in slick, modern grey ones.
He also made the hall look lovely and welcoming with pictures and a stunning mirror on the wall.
Connor’s clip has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly racked up a whopping 880.1k views.
It has 104.7k likes, 914 comments and 852 shares.
Social media users were left open-mouthed at the epic transformation and were eager to express this in the comments.
Many were left surprised at Connor’s skills and as a result, many thought that he should do DIY for a living.
