I got lip filler but it went totally wrong – my lip was swollen and bruised but it didn’t stop me getting it done again | The Sun

LIP FILLERS can be pretty hit or miss.

But with more and more people wanting an Instagram worthy pout, it seems that many are going to extreme lengths to get the lips they desire.

And one woman got more than she bargained for, when shortly after having her lips filled, her lips and her face turned badly swollen and bruised.

Beauty lover Molly Mcmanus, known as ‘molly_19xx’ on TikTok, took to the social media platform to share her lip filler journey.

Molly uploaded a video to show off what her lips looked like after she had lip filler and it’s safe to say, they look painful.

Not only are her lips swollen, bruised and red, above her lip was also badly bruised too.

Molly confirmed: “There’s no story time…I had my lips done, this happened, they bruised, I had a hematoma, the end.

“They’ve been checked, I had a bad reaction but they’re going down a lot now.

“For those wondering, I am completely healed now, apart from a little bruising.”

Molly explained that she had a hematoma as a result of the lip filler – a common problem that occurs as a result of damage to one of the larger blood vessels in the body.

A hematoma can look like a bruise, but bruises occur due to damage to small blood vessels rather than large ones.

Molly also confirmed in the comments that she had a vascular occlusion, which is a blockage of a blood vessel, usually with a clot.

It differs from thrombosis in that it can be used to describe any form of blockage, not just one formed by a clot.

When it occurs in a major vein, it can, in some cases, cause deep vein thrombosis.

While Molly had a major lip disaster, she revealed that she didn’t let it put her off having lip filler again.

She explained: “I’ve had them done since, and they were perfect!

“Don’t let this frighten you, just make sure you know them, and they show you certificates etc”.

Molly’s video has clearly stunned many, as it has racked up a whopping 9.9million views.

It has 858.3k likes and 5,813 comments.

TikTok users were left in shock at Molly’s lips and many revealed that it had put them off of getting lip filler done themselves.

One person said: “Ok, scared to get them done now”.

Another added: “That’s so bad”.

A third commented: “And that my friends is why u don’t get fillers”.

Someone else stated: ““SIS YOU GREW A MOUSTACHE, I hope you get better”.

One person asked: “Did you get a refund?” to which Molly confirmed “Part refund, it was nobody’s fault and it’s her job! I work within the beauty industry so I understand mistakes happen. Was nobody’s fault and just an accident”.
