FORVER Spice Girl Victoria Beckham maintains a regular workout schedule in order to keep her slender and toned physique.
As a senior lifestyle reporter, I thought I would try Beckham’s diet regimen and workout routine for a day – but it was exhausting and physically taxing.
Over the course of her extensive music and fashion career, Victoria Beckham, 47, has made her physical health an important part of her life.
Her daily schedule is one to be envied and requires a great deal of dedication to complete.
I attempted Beckham's daily routine and incorporated many of her past and present wellness practices into what I do on an average workday.
Beginning early in the morning, I was ready for a day consisting of three workouts and simple eating, as well as conditioning and weight training.
I began my day at 5:30 a.m. with a 7km treadmill workout that was amix of fast walking, jogging, and running.
While many of us are still asleep around this time, including me normally, the businesswoman is already up and pounding away on the exercise machine.
A little before 7 a.m. I slowly walked home from the gym to get something in my system and make my own version of Beckham's breakfast, a spoonful of apple cider vinegar, a cup of green tea and I added some almonds to hopefully hold me over until lunch.
The apple cider vinegar shockingly went down smoother than I thought it would.

I kept my breakfast light, but she sometimes adds green smoothies, homemade cereals, or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon to her first meal of the day.
Beckham normally follows up her treadmill sessions with a personal training session, but since I didn’t have that option, I completed 30 minutes of quick legs, arms, planks, and other toning and conditioning that targeted the core.
For basic conditioning after the morning cardio, I did three sets of 30 arm pulls with a resistance band, 30 back lunges, 30 shoulder taps, 30 commandos, and lastly a one-minute plank.
Following that workout, I felt like I was going to throw up a little bit and needed some sustenance, so I snacked on a slice of bread.
According to Beckham, a piece of whole grain toast with some salt sprinkled on top is her comfort food, but it's unknown whether she adds butter or any other toppings.
Victoria Beckham is always one to prioritize work and family, so I spent the rest of my morning catching up on articles.
Around 12 p.m., I prepared my lunch and dinner before performing a weightlifting workout from a Victoria Beckham-inspired YouTube video.
David Beckham revealed on a recent podcast that his wife Victoria had eaten the same meal of roasted fish and steamed greens every day for 25 years, an apparent staple in Beckham’s meal plan.
After going about my regular work day for a bit, I then moved into my third workout of the day, a few weighted exercises with some resistance bands and five to ten-pound weights.
At 1:30 p.m. I had grilled salmon and asparagus for lunch with a cup of tea.
I knew that I needed some sort of carb to get through the next weight training workout, so I modified it by putting half a cup of brown rice on the plate as well.
Weight lifting is a relatively new addition to Victoria's workout regime and was originally hesitant but now focuses on lifting heavy weights five or six days a week.
"I've always been a bit scared of weights, but it turns out I love them," Victoria told Grazia in a May 2022 interview.
I completed three sets of 30 weighted squats with a push-up, 30 weighted forward lunges, 30 Tricep dips, and 30 banded squat walks with resistance bands.
After the weight training session, I actually felt so tired that I took a 30-minute nap before continuing back to work.
It was important to me to take some time for myself during the day and let my body rest.
I continued on with work for the rest of the day and had a meal of grilled salmon and asparagus once again for dinner at 6 p.m.
I’m not sure how she keeps up with all these exercises amidst all that is going on in her life.
For me, it was important to breathe through each exercise and take my time effectively completing each one.
In the end, I was hungry and tired, and definitely think I should have had a more hearty breakfast.
In a recent interview with Women’s Health with her trainer Bobby Rich, he mentioned that life can occasionally get in the way, and Victoria Beckham is no different, which is why it's important to adapt your workout to your lifestyle.
Rich shared that they change the way they train to suit how busy Beckham is, what her body goals are, and how confident she is with the kind of movement they’re working on.
Victoria Beckham has maintained a strong physique and steady diet and fitness regimen since her days as a Spice Girl but also makes sure to not overdo it and adapt her workout schedule to what events are taking place in her life.
