FROM breathtaking views to free food and accommodation, it's little surprise that working on a cruise ship is often seen as a dream job.

But according to TikTok user Ine, who posts under the acronym @inecarrillo and works as a Disney DCL crew member, there are also some unknown downsides to working onboard a cruise ship.


In a clip posted online, which has since racked up a whopping 128,000 views, she offered a very honest review of the pros and cons of her job.

She begins: "You work where you live, so your commute to work is like 3 minutes.

"But you live where you work, so you can't really get away from your work environment."

Next, she notes how you never need to cook, but adds that "there's not that many options.

"Sometimes it's really good. Sometimes it's not."

According to Ine, another pro is that "you don't pay for accommodation or food," but she jokes that's not always a good thing.

"This tricks your brain into believing you can buy stupid things online because pro…we can get things delivered to the ship," she says.

And while working onboard a cruise ship means you get to travel to "amazing ports," Ine points out: "You don't always have time to get off in those ports, depending on your schedule.

Ine goes onto say that another major perk is thatall your friends are like a minute walk away, but adds that you still "miss your friends and family from back home."

Finally, she concludes that "if you meet someone or you like someone, you can run into them multiple times a day."

But warns this can turn into a nightmare if you break up, because they're "always there."
