DEEP cleans are good for the soul—and for the home.
There’s no better feeling than finally tackling those dirty surfaces to get them sparkling like new again.
One woman on TikTok, cleaning expert @VanesaMaro91, said that many of us forget to clean certain areas that become filled with grime and dust.
In the clip, she began: “Did you know that there are things that you’re supposed to clean every single year?”
The area she decided to hit first was her pantry.
“Before the year ends, you should probably declutter and clean your pantry. Let’s go!”
The initial step is to empty out all of the contents so that you can vacuum every shelf and corner.
“Then I moved on to cleaning. Remember, you can use the cleaner of your choice,” she said, while using a washcloth to scrub it down.

Once the pantry was dust-free, she tackled the contents—throwing out anything expired or unnecessary.
Organize the contents on the shelves and you’re good to go.
“Don’t forget to clean the door,” she added at the end.
Viewers, as always, sang her praises:
“Your encouragement to clean inspires me to do the same,” one person commented.
“I really love your content. I pass all the tips to my mom and she loves it too,” added another.
As for the other eight spots you should tidy up at least once year, she revealed her list.
Number one: “Move washer / dryer and vacuum behind it.”
This will help you get rid of any dust mites that collected in those crevices.
Number two: “Check expiration dates on medicine bottles and declutter them.”
Number three: “Dust off all ceilings with a Swiffer Duster.”
Number four: “Remove everything from your bathroom drawers and clean them.”
Number five: “Clean floor grout.”
Number six: “Clean outdoor light fixtures.”
Number seven: “Clean AC Unit.”
And finally, number eight: “Sweep and clean the garage.”
