I’m a dermatologist – three products to banish dark circles under your eyes & make you look younger for £8 | The Sun

LET'S be honest, we all want to get rid of the dark circles under our eyes.

And while it may be impossible to get enough sleep to banish them, there are plenty of products to help us out.

Board-certified dermatologist Aamna Adel has revealed her top three high-street products to look fresh-faced and youthful again.

The UK-based doctor took to social media, writing: "Dermatologist recommended products for dark circles,"and if her skin is anything to go by, we're listening.

She first recommends The Ordinary's Caffeine Solution 5 per cent which costs just £7.90 and can be found in Boots.

Because it is a natural vasoconstrictor, it can reduce inflammation and swelling by constricting blood vessels.

This makes caffeine an excellent ingredient in eye creams and serums, as it can reduce the appearance of puffy eyes and dark circles says beauty experts, 100 per cent Pure.

Next, Doctor Adel suggested using a Retinol eye cream like No7's Pure Retinol eye cream currently on sale for £10.

Retinol is a key ingredient in anti-ageing products as it speeds up skin cell production to reverse the signs of sun damage such as wrinkles and acne reports Cleveland Clinic.

The skincare expert advised using the L'Oreal Revitalift hyaluronic and caffeine eye serum that costs £16.99.

She added: "Dark circles due to skin thinning & visible vessels – caffeine, retinol and laser help.

"Dark circles due to hollowness = retinoids can help a little bit but best to consider treatments like filler."
