I'm a foodie and I make my own duck pancakes in an Air Fryer, it tastes better than what you get from a Chinese takeaway | The Sun

IF you’re a fan of a Chinese takeaway and look forward to tucking into some duck pancakes, we’ve got just the thing for you.

There’s nothing better than duck pancakes when you order Chinese, but thanks to one foodie, now you can make them yourself at home.

Cooking duck can be a bit of a challenge – it’s either too fatty and not crispy enough, or too dry – but thanks to one food whizz, here’s how you can get the perfect crispy duck, by using an air fryer.

Home cook Nathan, known on social media as Bored of Lunch, often shares his recipes and food hacks to Instagram.

He has 647k followers on the social media platform and one of his recent videos has left many people very impressed.

The Belfast foodie, who also has his own book, titled ‘Bored of Lunch: The Healthy Slowcooker Book’, recently shared his air fryer duck pancakes recipe.

“You can also do breasts for about 30 minutes instead of the full time”.

For the ingredients, you will need one duck, two teaspoons of five spice, one lime, one cucumber, spring onions, hoisin sauce and pancakes (Nathan buys his but you can make your own if you wish).

To create Nathan’s duck, you first of all need to coat your duck in the five spice and pop half a lime in the cavity.

Place the duck in the air fryer for roughly 70 minutes at 190 degrees.

After 20 minutes of cooking, carefully tip some of the oil in a bowl – brush the duck in some of the oil and discard the rest safely.

After cooking, let the bird rest for 15 minutes before cutting up.

Whilst it’s resting, steam your pancakes and cut up the greens longways.

Serve with hoisin sauce and enjoy!
