A FOODIE has shared how there are several kitchen staples that can be stored in the freezer that you had no idea about.
And she revealed that the best part of her nifty trick was that you could save major money, as it means you can buy in bulk without worrying that the products will go off.
In a TikTok video titled ‘Things you can freeze that you might not know you could freeze,’ Steph Gigliotti lifted the lid on everything – from flour to cheese.
Steph, whose profile is @stephgigliotti28, began by picking up her first food product – some butter.
“You can freeze butter, you can just throw this whole container right in your freezer, just like this.
“And then when you’re ready to thaw it, you can put it in the fridge overnight or just leave it out on the countertop.”

Another dairy product that can be safely stored in the freezer is cheese – and it can stay there for up to six months.
Steph continued: “You can freeze grated cheese.
“This is a great way to save money.”
While she said flour was also great when stored in the freezer.

Steph explained: “Get a good deal on flour? Stock up and freeze it.
“Keep in the freezer for six months. Thaw on the countertop before you use it.”
The same could be said for whipping cream, or buttermilk,
Steph also said that she freezes her bread for up to three months – something many have caught onto in the past – as well as various pre-prepared sauces for up to six.
She explained: “So if you get a really good deal, stock up and just throw it in the freezer.
“You can freeze sauces, make a big batch of spaghetti sauce, chimichurri sauce, pesto, anything,” she added as she said it can be made in individual ice cube dishes to provide the perfect portion.

“You can throw it in the pan right from the freezer and you can always have sauce on hand.”
Steph’s followers were only too happy to hear the tips, as they said they’d started freezing food to save money too.
