A TRAVELLER woman has revealed the secrets she uses to keep her car smelling fresh and no, it’s not car air fresheners. 

And you probably already have everything you need somewhere in your pad. 


Parents often have a difficult time keeping their cars clean after long trips and food spillages but one mum has shared her car cleaning secrets. 

Heidi Mcdongh Clee has racked up over 17,000 views and people love her lifestyle and cleaning videos 

She shared her car freshening tips in a TikTok video online. 

In her 13 second clip the traveller explained her hacks are much better than car air freshers.

The mum of one first said it’s really important that you give your car a good cleaning first before you use her tips. 

She said: “The best way to keep your car really fresh … once you've cleaning it out though.”

The first item you will need is a spray bottle of air freshener and not an empty one. 

The cleaning fan uses a natural essence to freshen up her car, although we reckon Febreze would work just as well.

The next clever item Heidi uses to clean her car is tumble dryer sheets.

She sneaks them into secret places around her car so she they can emit a fresh smelling scent discreetly.

Of course, make sure these are fresh tumble dryer sheets and not used. 

Heidi said: “I put some of these dryer sheets into the back pockets in the car.”

“Into the glove box as well.”

Heidi says she finds these hacks much better than using traditional car air fresheners. 

She said: “So much nicer than the car air fresheners.”
