An age-defying mother has sparked controversy on social media as people refuse to believe she is 41 years old. Amber Lancaster is a gameshow model from Los Angeles, California who confessed to being a “1980s baby” after posting a video of herself on TikTok revealing her age.

In the short clip, the voiceover said: “This is for everyone who looks younger than their actual age and people don’t believe them when you tell them how old you are.”

Amber is seen in the footage smiling and posing for the camera before revealing she is 41-years-old, causing online users to be shocked and beg her for skincare secrets.

One user said: “41 going on 25, you look like a young lady” while another person said: “What kind of sorcery is this? Tell me now!!”

However, Amber also received many negative comments from people accusing her of lying about her age. One user wrote: “Thank goodness for cosmetic surgery” to which Amber replied she has never had any surgery.

Another user said: “You are clearly lying for attention and are not [in your 40s]” and Amber later posted in the comment section: “Hi! There’s a real human here behind the screen, please be nice.”

Other people came to Amber’s defence, as one commentator wrote: “Can we start supporting people in the comments instead of bashing people? Let’s grow up people, you look so much younger and beautiful.”

Someone else wrote: “Wow there is a lot of jealously in this comment section, she can’t help being a natural beauty…she takes care of herself.”

Amber has since posted her nighttime skincare regimen much to the delight of her fans, as one user said: “Ever since I found out you were 41 I decided I would do any skincare you recommended.”

In the video, Amber began by recommending the cleanser Purity by Philosophy which Amber confessed she has been using since she was a teenager. She said: “I’ve literally been using this since I was like 18. This will take every single bit of your makeup off, it’s hydrating, it’s deep cleansing, it will take caked on all day makeup off, I love this stuff.”

Next, Amber used the Daily Milkfoliant by Dermalogica. She said: “This is a new product that won the best in beauty award. It’s so cool, it’s these super fine granules that you mix with water, and it’s calming and soothing.”

Amber also said she used the Facial Intensive Wrap by Clarins which helped keep her skin plump and firm, but said that she highly recommends trying a retinol product to fight signs of aging.

Amber explained: “If you’re not using a retinal product, don’t buy anything else. Just, please try a retinol product. If it’s too harsh for your skin, you can off light and build your way up but it will drastically change your skin.”
