I’m a mum on a budget and I won’t spend more than £6 on my baby this Christmas – here’s what’s on my shopping list | The Sun

FOR many, Christmas tends to be the most expensive time of the year, with heaps of gifts to buy and roast dinners to prepare.

But according to one mum on a budget, Beth, there is no need to spend a fortune – you can bag presents that won't leave your bank account empty.

Beth, better known to her 50,600 followers on TikTok as The Budgeting Mum, regularly shares gift ideas and she has now revealed her top inexpensive picks for babies.

''If you’re looking for some small budget friendly gifts for young children, B&M have a good selection including some sensory toys!''

First up in the video was a box of light-up musical instruments – perfect for those 18 months and older, these retail for just £6 and will become a favourite in the household.

Whilst browsing in the store, Beth also stumbled upon a fibre optic sensory lamp for a fiver.

Not only is this sensory must-have affordable but also changes the colours, making it more exciting for the baby.

A little more expensive – £6 – was Beth's third find – stocking blocks, which go from one to ten and range in size.

According to the packaging, these bright plastic blocks help to develop coordination and problem-solving skills.

If your baby is slightly younger, B&M also offers a teddy shaker with dozens of tiny balls that will ''tumble and triple''.

Ideal for playtime, these puppets – an elephant, a zebra, a giraffe and a monkey – are meant for kids over two.

For the youngest of the bunch, the popular discount retailer has come out with a rattle ball, charging customers £2.50 for the bargain.

Last but not least, the happy shopper revealed a toy for £6 – a spin top with a handful of brightly coloured plastic balls that your baby will love.

Sharing her finds, Beth went on in the caption: ''I didn’t go over board for my children when they were little so these are perfect little presents that don’t cost much cus let’s face it they’re going to be totally overwhelmed anyway!

''Better to put the money you would have liked to spend into a savings account for them.''

As always, social media users flocked to comments to share their thoughts, with one mum warning: ''I wouldn't recommend the first item! it contains button batteries they are unsafe!''

A fellow parent penned: ''Went and got all these today for my girl.''
