HAVE you ever grabbed a meal deal from a supermarket and picked up a bottle of water for the drink?

Well, according to one savvy saver, that's one of the biggest wastes of money of all.

Kat regularly shares money-saving tips and tricks on her social media pages, and recently posted a video of the "five things" she never wastes her hard-earned cash on.

"You can walk into anywhere and ask them for a free tap water!"

But not everyone agreed with Kat's point, with one writing: "Bottled water tastes better though!"

"Absolutely! Our water in the south is grim," another added.

As a third wrote: "I second this and some tap water isn't the best, mine doesn't taste great wouldn't even give it to my dog, depends I guess for anyone else."

"Difference is tap water isn’t as fresh and clean as filtered," someone else pointed out.

"Bottled water is good to chuck in the boot if you forgot your water," another pointed out.

Kat continued her video by insisting she never pays for food delivery.

"I honestly never, ever get a takeaway," she explained.

"If I want fast food I will go and drive or walk somewhere to pick up the food.

"If not, I've got food at home – I can cook the food that I've got at home."

She doesn't waste money on magazines and newspapers when she can "get all the information online for free", and also won't buy lottery tickets.

"I think they're a waste of money," she said.

"I feel like the cost versus reward ratio just isn't worth it for me personally."

And lastly, she won't fork out on branded medicines when unbranded ones are the same.

"Did you know that the ingredients in the branded medicines versus the non-branded are exactly the same?" she said.
