I’m a Starbucks barista – I break the dress code but only a certain type of customer thinks my outfit is inappropriate | The Sun

A STARBUCKS barista has admitted that she breaks the chain's dress code, donning clothing that's more revealing than permitted.

But she said that only a certain customer demographic seems to care and think she's dressed inappropriately.

Taking to social media, Mandy revealed the work outfit that seems to make some people unhappy.

Mandy stood in her work attire, which consisted of a black T-shirt and black shorts with fraying at the bottom.

"Older customers when I wear shorts to work," Mandy, who goes by @thebudgetingbarista on social media, wrote in her TikTok video.

Audio played that mirrored the sentiment that older customers likely have in regard to her work attire, using a slur for a promiscuous woman.

She added in her caption: "These shorts are not technically dress code approved, whoopsies.

"This is also how I realized I have a hole in not one, BUT TWO armpits of my favorite Starbucks shirt.

"Very sad about this," she wrote.

In the comments section of her video, she listed the other times that she gets negative reactions from older customers.
