Luckily, an elegance coach has shared tips on how to appear confident when an awkward situation occurs.

Instead, she encourages people to stay playful and laugh at their mistake.

In another one of her TikTok videos, she gives advice on how to start a conversation.

"Start with a genuine compliment. 'I like your hair, jacket, style, energy, etc.'" she wrote in her TikTok video.

"When you're in a conversation, end your sentence on a flat tone (instead of going up)," Patricia says in her TikTok video.

These are easy and great tips to build confidence.

Patricia reminds her followers to also not over apologize.

Saying "sorry" too often can ruin self-confidence.

Only apologize when you are at fault and truly mean it, she says.
