SUPERMARKET style has been all the rage this fashion season, with so many shops going all out with their clothing lines.

And Sainsbury’s Tu clothing range has certainly not been left behind, with fashion fans going wild for their summer dresses.

Now midsize fashion TikToker Ellie, who goes by the name @thevanitycase, says she fell victim to the relatable problem of spending way more than planned in Sainsbury’s after finding herself in the clothing aisle.

“Genuinely went in there for a pack of king prawns,” she says, “I came out having spent £60 worth of clothes.”

Ellie adds that she wasn’t surprised to find some things that she liked in Sainsbury’s, saying that “Tu can really come out with some banging prints.”

The first item in Ellie’s haul is the girl & cat portrait T-shirt, which she got for half price in the sale.

She says this top is slightly big but she loves an oversize tee so it works out well for her.

Her next item is a cropped multicolor Hawaiian-style shirt, which Ellie says she had seen in store before but resisted purchasing, however she just had to buy it this time.

The cropped shirt cost £16 and she adds that it’ll be perfect for warm weather and while on holidays.

“I’ve been on the hunt for some short summer dresses,” says Ellie, adding that so far her summer wardrobe has been filled with midi and maxi dresses – and here’s where Sainsbury’s came in handy.

The next item in this fashionista’s haul is a floral mini wrap dress, which costs just £20.

“I love this print,” says Ellie holding the dress up, “it reminded me of Van Gogh, it reminded me of vintage granny. Two of my favourite things.”

The second dress she purchased was a gingham-style mini, for £22, which she says will be great for hot weather as it’s so light and airy, but can double as winter-wear if paired with boots and tights.

Her final item was a polka dot maxi skirt for £14, which she says she loves, both due to the slits in the front and the gorgeous polka dot pattern.
