I'm midsize with a 'mum tum' & tried H&M's latest collection – some dresses were an utter fail but I found a look I love | The Sun

A MIDSIZE mum has taken to TikTok to share her honest thoughts on H&M’s latest collection – including one dress that looked like a dressing gown.

Luckily Samantha did manage to find some bits she liked though, including a great occasion dress and some bargain basics to take you through spring.

The fashion fan, known online as @midsizesammy, regularly shares outfit ideas with her 144,000 followers.

In a new video, she tried various dresses, tops and jeans she found in her local H&M store – although not all were a hit.

This included the black Rib-knit bodycon dress with a sweetheart neckline, priced at £29.99.

“Random H&M try-on with a fuller bust, small waist and a mummy tummy. Let’s go.

“Firstly, this dress is just a fail. It’s far, far, far too low cut.

“Even if you wore a strapless bra, if you’re fuller busted it’s just probably not going to work, which is a shame.”

Although the next piece, the Gathered crepe dress costing £24.99, was a complete hit.

She said: “This, however, I’m obsessed with for spring, summer occasions.

“It’s got the ruching at the front, the side and the back. Gives great structure.

“Perfect for fuller busts with a deep V, and at the back it makes your bum look amazing.

“Seriously, this is going to be amazing for occasions in the spring and summer.”

Samantha also loved the Satin Wrap dress, £29.99, but unfortunately, they didn’t have her size.

“Next one. I know it looks a bit like a dressing gown, but I did have to size up in this, so imagine if it was my size.

“Look at how flattering it is on the tummy area!

“Maybe with some chunky bright heels in the summer? I’m loving it!”

Sam tried on another wrap dress, this one just £17.99, and raved about how flattering they are around the tummy area.

She added: “This is the same dress but not in the silk.

“See, this is my size, look how flattering that is around the tummy area. Oh my gosh, this dress is going to be so versatile to be dressed up and dressed down.

“Perfect, perfect, perfect for spring and summer.”

The content creator also shared some useful basics, including the lace-trimmed bodysuit, costing shoppers just £12.99.

“I absolutely love this top. not with the jeans, but you know, you can imagine.

“I really like the lacing detail to kind of chest area in a fairly kind of flirty way.

“Absolutely love the style. Yeah, this is a winner for me.

The long-sleeved ribbed top also received high praise and is a bargain at £17.99.

“Next, I just love the greyscale. The sweetheart neckline with the chunky loafers and the grey jeans.

“Really, really loved it.”

With cargo trousers set to be a big trend this year, Samantha also tried a pair of these on.

Although she did recommend her followers size up if trying the cream Wide cargo trousers, now £24.99.

“These cargos are really, really nice but you definitely need to size up. Definitely size up.”

Fans loved her honest review, with the video gaining more than 3,500 likes and 120,000 views.

In the comments, Samantha’s followers shared their thoughts on some of the items she picked up, with one writing: “OMG that second dress. You look sensational in it! love the pink trainers too.”
