A MUM of two has confessed to not cleaning her kitchen appliances in months – and the internet has a lot to say about it.

Amanda Rose, from the US took to social media to out herself for her grubby kitchen and get to cleaning it.

"There was so much caked on food on my kitchen appliances – I haven't cleaned them in months," she began.

The woman, who has called herself a 'lazy mum' in the past, then showed off her microwave and air fryer and just how much food was now stuck on.

"The caked on food is starting to sizzle and smoke because it's been cooked on for so long," she added.

Amanda added that she couldn't even recall the last time she gave her kitchen appliances a good clean, and it seemed to have been a while as when she tried to scrub the food off her microwave she took a chunk of the microwave with her.

She added that it smelt like rotting food as she began to clean it.

After scrubbing the microwave she moved on to the air fryer and had a savvy hack to get it cleaned up in no time.

She poured some water into the air fryer tray with washing up liquid and placed it back into the air fryer to cook for a few minutes.

This meant a lot of the cooked on food became soft and easy to scrub off.

While many people might be tempted to just buy new appliances if they were as grubby as Amanda's she revealed she wanted to fix and clean things instead of wasting money on new items.

The next kitchen appliance she tackled was the coffee machine, which was full of old coffee grinds and dirt.

Even the water tank Amanda filled for the coffee machine was covered in grim and mould and she admitted she's only cleaned it three times despite using it every day for seven years.

"In my mind, if the microwave still heats up the food, or if the coffee still makes coffee, like, why does it need to be cleaned?" Amanda explained.

Despite knowing she should clean the machine every day she said you 'couldn't catch me caring.'

The clip posted to her TikTok account @amanduhh_ soon went viral with over 480k views and 54k likes.

People were stunned Amanda had let her kitchen appliances get so grubby.

One person wrote: "This is why I don’t eat at others houses."

Another commented: "It's not about being clean or not and still working. It's about sanitation & possible mould. Gurl I might have to block you this is infuriating lol."

"And this is why I have trust issues eating food that comes from peoples houses," penned a third.

Meanwhile, other parents could relate to how difficult it is to stay on top of cleaning.

A fourth said: "I'm a working mom and I highly relate to all this."

"I’m telling your girl! I have never related more to another person,” claimed a fifth.
