Man transforms home with £3 Paint Factory spray – but is it a total disaster? | The Sun

NOW the kids are back at school, the quieter days are the perfect opportunity to give the house a bit of a revamp.

At least according to one TikTok DIY whizz, who decided to give his hallway a quick makeover using only a couple of £3 Paint Factory spray cans.

But viewers were left divided over whether his renovation was completely genius or a complete disaster.

Jack March, who posts on social media using the handle @jackdmarch, regularly shares his clever hacks for easy interior upgrades with his 120,000 combined followers on Instagram and TikTok.

And in a recent clip, he showed how he’d completely altered the look of his Yorkshire home’s hallway in a matter of minutes.

Jack began by showing off the plain white ceiling of the house's spacey hallway, complete with an elaborate golden chandelier.

He then panned to a can on Paint Factory’s Metallic Shimmering Gold spray paint, which you can buy a three-pack of on Amazon for just £9.50.

The artsy influencer next showed himself carefully spraying layers of the sparkly gold paint until his ceiling was entirely covered.

The final result was a stunning, chrome-look ceiling that looked uber-expensive and perfectly matched the statement light fixture.

Jack posted the video on TikTok, alongside a cheeky nod to how completely the space had transformed, writing: “New ceiling arrived!!!”

He also confirmed in the comments that he’d completed the entire job with just three and a half cans – bringing the total cost of his work to around £10.

And plenty of fans took to the comments to voice how impressed they were with the cheap and easy paint-job.

“It’s so beautiful,” gushed one user.

Another simply called Jack’s hack “genius”.

But not all viewers were convinced, with some pointing to the potential hazards of dousing your hallway in flammable spray paint.

“Watch the fire resistance issue with that on the ceiling,” one user argued.

Others took issue with the overstated style, finding the statement chrome colour to be a bit “tacky”.

One disgruntled user expressed his disapproval, writing: “You have no taste. Very Trumpian.”
