Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in a fairytale royal wedding, while working as an actress, Meghan was married to film producer Trevor Engelson. The pair called it quits on their relationship in 2013 after two years of marriage, and Meghan would meet her future husband Prince Harry a few years later, eventually getting engaged at the end of 2017.

Meghan Markle’s first engagement ring from ex Trevor Engelson is not strikingly dissimilar from the ring she received from Prince Harry, as both featured a multitude of diamonds.

Meghan’s first ring featured a solitaire princess-cut diamond set on two thin bands bejewelled in pavé diamonds.

After her first wedding, Meghan was pictured sporting what looked like a thicker pavé diamond wedding ring to complete the ensemble.

The band of Meghan’s first engagement ring was made of platinum, while her second from Prince Harry featured a yellow gold band.

Prince Harry opted for a trilogy engagement ring for his bride-to-be, with the central cushion-cut diamond hailing from Botswana, where the couple holidayed in the early days of their relationship.

On either side of the enormous gem are two smaller stones from the jewellery collection of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

After their marriage in 2018, Meghan was pictured wearing a slightly updated version of her original engagement ring.

The chunkier yellow gold band has now been replaced by a slimmer pavé band, and small diamonds dot the edges of the three stones for a touch of extra glamour.

Naomi Jenkinson, jewellery buyer and merchandiser from Brown’s Family Jewellers said of Meghan’s ring: “What a classic!

“Exuding Princess Diana’s unquestionable taste, Meghan Markle’s remodelled three-stone engagement ring encompasses the perfect balance of classic beauty and contemporary elegance, boasting a large central diamond flanked on either side by two smaller diamonds.

“The remodelled fine micropavé shoulders add extra sparkle and a finer contemporary look.”

Meghan wears her engagement ring alongside the Welsh gold wedding band she received at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

After the birth of her first child Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019, Meghan was also spotted wearing a third ring on her finger.

Meghan’s gold band adorned with diamonds in a pattern similar to her engagement ring was widely perceived by royal fans to be an eternity ring.

The band was understood to be a gift to Meghan from Harry to mark their first anniversary and the birth of their first child.

Adorably, the underside of the ring is thought to feature the birthstones of Meghan, Harry and Archie.
