SKIRTS come in all different lengths, textures, cuts, fabrics, and styles, and right now the hottest length is the maxi.

For years we have transitioned from mini skirts to midi, but now it's time for the maxi skirts to be revived, and we are here for it.

We have seen a number of influencers opt for maxi skirts, some just skim the ankles, others fall like a puddle train almost, and we love them all.

Some of the popular styles we are seeing the fashion firm wear include maxi slip skirts, which we are totally on board with, as we can style the same way we have for midi slip skirts.

What we love about the maxi satin slip design is they drape off the body, elongate your legs, and look so chic whether you pair with a crop top and bomber, even a shacket, a t-shirt and trainers or boots and heels.

But we have also seen the return of the 90s maxi denim skirts, which we weren't quite expecting, but absolutely work.

When we think of skirts in general we instantly think of the popular satin bias skirts we have been wearing endlessly for years.

The trend hasn't gone anywhere, but the latest look is to extend the length of the skirt a little so it is ankle, or floor length.

What we love about the satin style is you can dress up or down, which makes it great value for money and super versatile.

Mango

For those who want a simple maxi skirt, but not too simple, it is a fine line and a hard one to juggle, but Mango has made it happen.

Mango' s Gathered Waist Skirt is maxi length, straight fitting, which combined with the flowy fabric just glides down the body, while the elastic pleated waistband not only cinches you in, conceals the area some may be conscious of, while also adding extra detail.

Maxi skirts do not have to be clingy, combat, or denim, they can be bohemian with a floral print and A-line style too.

We had to double take New Look's Jersey High Waist Maxi Skirt wasn't a SKIMS alternative, because it really looks like it is.

This design is selling out fast, and we're not surprised as it is super flattering, affordable, versatile, and a very close designer dupe.

If you want to get on board the maxi skirt trend, but want to make it work appropriate, we think & Other Stories has nailed it.

When we think of maxi skirts, we often think of the denim designs we used to wear in the nineties and noughties.

A denim design is the one to shop as it goes with any outfit, can be dressed up or down, and is minimalist effort with maximum effect.

We know £200 is not necessarily the most purse friendly price tag but we couldn't recommend maxi skirts without putting Reformation's Gia Linen Skirt in the mix.

This design is super lightweight and flattering, thanks to the linen fabric, which makes for the perfect staple in your summer, or holiday, wardrobe.

We love a belt, so we are thrilled to learn this design has belt loops, as well as front fastening for a comfortable fit, and to allow for accessorising.
