Mum 'avoids stab through heart' as she reveals how often she washes her bra – and everyone is saying the same thing | The Sun

A MUM desperate to get an issue off her chest has revealed the item of clothing she doesn't wash after wearing it – and she's got a lot of support.

Ash Reid said she refuses to wash her bras every time she wears them.

She reckons there is absolutely no need to chuck them in the washing machine until they’ve been on a couple of times.

And the Glasgow influencer insists it’s an essential step that saves her cash in the long run as it makes them last longer.

On her TikTok page, Ash said: “Things that girls do that no-one admits to but everyone knows deep down we all do the same things.

“Re-wearing bras and not washing them for days on end. I feel like they are like no other type of underwear.”

Ash lifted the lid on her habit and believes that regular re-wearing is essential to prolonging the life of the costly underwear.

She added: “To be honest, they’re so expensive.

“Who wants to take the risk of throwing them in the washing machine after every wear and playing Russian roulette with its life.”

Ash even joked that sidelining bras after they’ve been worn could be beneficial for her health.

She said: “I just do not want to have the possibility of putting that bra back on again, be driving down the road and boom – stab right through the heart.

“The underwire pops out because of over-washing.”

Ash decided to speak out about recycling bras in the belief that it’s something all other women do.

She pleaded with her followers to put her out of her misery and admit that they’re also guilty.

Ash said: “Tell me I’m not the only one?

“I’m pretty sure I got advice from a professional in a store, that shall not be named, that you shouldn't be washing them every time anyway.

“Does anyone else do this?”

Ash was relieved when her fans piled in and mostly agreed with her in the comments.

One said: “You only wear days at a time? I’m sometimes a good week depending if it’s my fancy bras or not.”

Another follower added: “Bras are like jeans. Multiple wears before washing.

A third wrote: "I wash my bra about twice a month if I’m lucky , totally get you."
