A VAN dweller has shared some of the money-saving items she swears by for her unique lifestyle.

The TikToker revealed the odd hack she uses to stay warm in her tiny home on wheels.


In her video, Bobbie (@bobbies_vanlife) listed: "Five must-have items when living in your van."

Those living in traditional homes are also able to benefit from most of Bobbie's helpful tips.

For her first suggestion, she recommended adding thermal leggings to your wardrobe.

"Thermal leggings, I literally live in mine all the time and you can never have too many pairs," she said.

She also advised anyone embarking on van life to invest in teddy fleece bedding.

Bobbie explained: "This was an absolute game changer in the winter weather, and it keeps you so warm."

For her next tip, she told her followers a trick she uses that she said "might be too much information."

Bobbie said: "A pee bottle, this saves you from going outside in the cold when you’re off-grid."

She also suggested having a backup plan when it comes to your power supply.

"Even if you’ve got a really good off-the-grid system I feel like it’s so important to have [a battery] as a backup," Bobbie explained.

She recommended the $230 ECO FLO battery backup sump system, available at Home Depot.

Bobbie told her audience that her final item "has to be my Ridge Monkey cooking pan."

She explained: "You can literally cook anything on there and it cooks eggs so quickly."

The camping-friendly cookware is available to buy online for just $48.

Another "van nomad" shared her regret over having no toilet facilities.

A couple living in a van gave their followers a virtual tour of the space, which included a home theater and a garden.
