A woman whose cheating husband tried to leave her for a colleague has revealed she forgave him when he came crawling back in what she claims is the "best decision of her life".

Alice Lacy, 29 and Dominique, 33 tied the knot in 2018 and the Texas couple share six children — but their marriage started to crumble when Alice suspected Dominique wasn't being faithful.

"I knew something was off when one night he randomly said how it was hard for a man to stay with only one woman and that women would never understand. I knew he was hiding an affair," she said.

She added: "We made love later that week and I cried myself to sleep that night."

Alice finally confronted her husband In October 2022 and he confessed to falling in love with a co-worker.

"After he said she was his soulmate, I asked if he was choosing her over our kids and he replied 'yes I love her' — that was the moment my heart detached from the conversation," Alice recalled.

But after moving in with his mother, Dominique text Alice to tell her he'd made a mistake. Alice added: "I was so confused and needed to think things through – but then he showed up at the front door to our house.

"He showed me the message to the other woman with him ending their affair and got on his knees and cried – he said doing this to our marriage was the biggest regret of his life."

Despite her family calling her "crazy" after being "disgusted" by Dominque's actions, Alice decided to take him back and the couple are now expecting another baby.

She says Dominque, who left his old job in May 2023, "constantly reassures" her and lets her read through his text messages.

"I feel as though our relationship is more open now, we can be more honest with each other," Alice said.

And Dominque claims the situation has taught him some life lessons, he said: "In my weakest moment my wife showed me strength, in my most embarrassing moment my wife showed me compassion, when I fell she helped pick me back up."
