Shoppers left stunned as Home Bargains starts selling CHRISTMAS items, but festive fans are amazed at the deals on offer | The Sun

WE'RE only just in August, so Christmas still seems a long way away.

But shops are already starting to stock up ahead of the holiday – with Home Bargains the latest to introduce aisles packed with festive favourites.

A shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share pictures of the laden shelves.

"Christmas out in Home bargains Tamworth. Some right bargains too," they wrote.

Some people were unimpressed that Christmas appears to have started so early, and took to the comments to say so.

"OMG no way for god's sake let's get summer done first," one woman raged.

As someone else wondered: "Is this for real?"

"Seriously, why do people spend the whole year thinking about Xmas?" a third wrote.

"I love it but I think it's sad that people can't seem to enjoy the rest of the year."

"It gets earlier each year!" another said.

"Christmas can hold the f*k on," someone else hilariously insisted.

But for all those insisting it's too early to even think about Christmas, there were some festive fans who couldn't resist having a look at the deals on offer.

There are light-up decorative bows for £3.99, glittery Merry Christmas signs for 99p and golden wreaths for £4.99.

If silver's more your cup of tea, they've got gorgeous snowflakes to go on top of the tree for £4.99, boxes of baubles for £4.99 and huge sparkly reindeers for £7.99.

Snow globes, nutcrackers, festive gonks and Christmas lights are all over the aisles, while there's another section full to the ceiling with gift sets for men, women and children.

Speaking of the kids, there are Christmas colouring books on offer, as well as advent calendars and plates to leave out for Santa.

And if you're a Disney fan, you need to get to Home Bargains sharpish.

There are Mickey Mouse path lights for £9.99, a Mickey bauble wreath for £11.99 and Mickey string lights for £4.99.

"See, it’s not just me that likes to be prepared," one person commented.
