Woman shares £1.99 hack to get her clothes dry even quicker – but not everyone's convinced | The Sun

AS the temperatures continue to drop amid the cost of living crisis, we're all looking for alternative ways to dry our clothes without resorting to the tumble dryer.

And one woman took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to boast about her hack, which cost her just £1.99 and has been working a treat.

"I don't know If this is a hack, a bargain or people already do this but…." Becki Ridgway began.

"£1.99 water catcher from Home Bargain attached to this peg dryer right above the clothes airer.

"The washing is drying in 24 hours enabling 1 load a day and the water being caught is incredible.

"This is 4 days of use, it's not the most glam looking thing but hey if it helps we don't care."

The "water catcher" she's referring to is a Dehumidifier Damp Trap, which can be picked up for £1.50 for two on Poundshop.com.

Alongside a picture of the damp trap sitting atop her peg dryer, she showed just how much water it had collected.

"It had been pouring all evening and morning so was very damp outside!" she later wrote on her post.

But not everyone was convinced by the hack, with one writing: "If my washing was left drying for a full day it would smell damp."
