Before Selling $31 Million Estate, Stephen Curry Upgraded To Even Larger Atherton Estate

American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association Stephen Curry quietly sold his California “dream home” to a Singapore-based billionaire last fall, the Golden Warriors point guard was already settling into even more palatial digs in the same sought-after Silicon Valley town of Atherton.

Records show the Ohio native, 34, and his TV personality/entrepreneur wife Ayesha, 33, paid exactly $30 million for their lavish contemporary residence way back in December 2020, shortly after it was newly built.

Hidden away behind walls and a gated driveway, on a flat parcel of land spanning nearly 2 acres, the U-shaped stucco and glass structure features seven bedrooms and nine baths sprawled across a little more than 17,700 square feet — a substantial size advantage over the couple’s other Atherton home, which has roughly 7,500 square feet of living space.

According to Dirt, The three-story home is fronted by a spacious motorcourt, with the front door opening into a gracious foyer that flows to a two-story glass-topped atrium sporting a dangling chandelier and floor-to-ceiling pocketing glass doors leading out to the backyard. From there, highlights include formal living/dining rooms, plus a gourmet kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island and top-tier stainless appliances. An adjacent dining area connects to a fireside family room, with both areas displaying yet more glass doors spilling outside.

There’s also a sumptuous master retreat sporting a fireplace, wet bar and luxe marble bath equipped with a soaking tub nestled alongside a glass-encased shower; and elsewhere is a movie theater, full seated bar and wine cellar. Outdoors, the Studio Green-landscaped grounds host a pool bordered by a sundeck, cabana and manicured lawn, as well as plenty of spots ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.

“One of the brightest stars in the sports constellation,” according to ESPN executive editor-at-large Rob King, Curry is the NBA’s all-time leader for 3-point shots made and ranks as the sixth-highest-paid athlete in the world with an estimated $86.2 million in earnings, per Sportico. As for Ayesha, she’s most known for her Food Network show “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen” and cookware line.

In addition to their Atherton home, the Curry family also owns a Florida vacation house in the city of Winter Park near Orlando that they paid $2.1 million for over the summer.
