Since finding fame back in 2011 as a cast member in the reality series The Only Way is Essex, Joey Essex has been a household name. From his overuse of the word "reem" back in the day, to his stint on I’m a Celeb, his recent appearance on Dancing on Ice has dropped him right back into the public domain.
Which means people have become interested (and invested) in the cheeky Essex lad all over again. Especially when it comes to his personal life and his romantic history.
So, let’s take a look at the 32 year old’s relationship timeline, including his on-and-off-again relationship with fellow TOWIE member Sam Faiers and his potential fling with superstar Rita Ora…
Sam Faiers
From 2011 to 2014, Joey was dating Sam Faiers, and the pair appeared together on The Only Way is Essex. The couple were one of the OG Essex duos, and their on-and-off relationship was heavily documented during their time on the show.
In 2012, Joey proposed to Sam, and the pair were engaged for a short period of time. However, while Joey and Sam were on a TOWIE holiday in Marbella in June 2013, they called time on their relationship.
They subsequently got back together for a brief stint, but officially called it a day for good in September 2014.
Amber Turner
During an ‘off-again’ Sam Faiers period in 2012, Joey was linked to waitress, Amber Turner.
However, their relationship was short lived, as she later joined the cast of TOWIE as the girlfriend of Dan Edgar.
Amy Willerton
After appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! together back in 2013, Joey was rumoured to have hooked up with his co-star, Miss Universe Great Britain title holder, Amy Willerton.
They soon went their separate ways though, after Amy expressed that she found it difficult upon leaving the jungle. Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday at the time, she said: “While Joey had a strong management team behind him, I didn't really have anybody in my corner."
Charlotte Stuchfield
Back in 2015, Joey was linked to Essex party girl, Charlotte Stuchfield. But their relationship didn’t last, as he told MailOnline at the time that “she’s really young and doesn’t quite understand [his] life.”
"I respect her and have told her it’s hard being in the limelight but she’s really easy-going and isn’t paranoid about anyone or anything,” he continued.
When asked about the pair moving in together, he added: “She keeps asking for a key but I'm saying, 'no'. I'm not having it. Allow it. I've just bought my house as well.”
Stephanie Pratt
While brief again, Joey Essex also dated American socialite and Made in Chelsea and The Hills star, Stephanie Pratt for three months.
Apparently, they fell for each other during their stint on Celebs Go Dating, and shared a passionate kiss in Joey’s swimming pool.
Unfortunately though, they weren’t the perfect match, as Joey called it quits in 2016 due to her making him "spend too much time in Chelsea".
Georgie Purves
Joey and his fashion stylist girlfriend, Georgie went public in May 2017 after stepping out in London together for the launch of his new clothing line.
Whilst together, the pair jetted off on plenty of holidays, most notably in Ibiza and Dubai.
Despite having no qualms about being spotted out and about, Joey put the breaks on things before it got too serious. At the time, he called the relationship “a casual thing.”
Ellie Brown
Love Island star Ellie was first linked to Joey in October 2018. A month later, she shared a video of the pair kissing on social media.
The PDA-packed romance didn’t last long though – they ended up appearing together on a celeb edition of Ex On The Beach.
Speaking on their relationship at the time, Ellie said: “Our thing wasn't like a bad split so we were never really on awful terms."
Sabreena Diamond
Back in October 2018, model Sabreena and Joey were spotted enjoying a date night at Tulley Shocktober Fest.
They later went public with their relationship at the King of Thieves premier in London.
However, while supposedly dating Sabreena, Joey was allegedly spotted snogging his previous beau, Ellie Brown at a party.
Lorena Medina
Joey had Ex On The Beach to thank for his relationship with model, Lorena.
The pair met on the MTV reality show in 2019, and fans thought the two were the real deal. Joey even showed her around his hometown of Chigwell in Essex and moved her into his home in September 2019.
But the pair ended up splitting in February 2020 following a big bust-up after he was snapped entering Rita Ora’s home in the early hours of the morning.
Rita Ora
Speaking of the You Only Love Me singer, Joey’s ex Lorena told The Sun that she dumped Joey after spending a boozy night with the popstar in early 2020.
According to sources, he spent 13 hours in Rita’s mansion, despite the pair trying to avoid being papped together by taking separate cars between venues.
However, both have denied anything ever happening between them, with Joey saying at the time: “We have known each other for years. She’s a nice girl but we’re just friends.”
Brenda Santos
Joey and Brenda were introduced to each other via friends and started dating in May 2020.
He even introduced the Brazilian model to his family at his socially-distanced 30th birthday party.
Unfortunately, their relationship only lasted a short-but-sweet five months, as it was reported that Brenda had left Joey’s Essex mansion to move to her place in London in October 2020.
According to The Sun, Brenda confessed to the outlet that “they made the time count by having sex at least once a day.”
