In hopes of looking younger, many spend a lot of money on cosmetic work or a youthful hairstyle.
However, getting the job done could be cheaper than people think. Certified dermatologist Dr Jessica Krant of Art of Dermatology, has shared what diet should be followed for a more youthful appearance.
She claims that eating certain foods can influence more than just a number on the scale, it can also “help you look younger”.
The doctor noted that the “best diet to look younger” is one that is anti-inflammatory or one that reduces the body’s inflammation response.
Most of the foods included in this anti-inflammatory diet are of the “plant-based” nature.

Jessica explained: “This is because the minerals, fibre, vitamins, and nutrients that a balanced, plant-based diet provides help keep your gut microbiome healthy while avoiding the allergens and irritants that can accompany animal proteins.”
This type of diet can “help you look younger” by packing your daily intake of foods with powerful antioxidants like Vitamins C and E.
These foods can also help prevent sugars from getting into the skin which can “damage and destroy” collagen.

The doctor added: “Each of these foods provides specific benefits, and often complements one another when used in the same recipe.”
It is worth noting that many people who have tried shifting to a plant-based or high-fibre diet have experienced uncomfortable side effects – namely bloating when making the change.
Jessica assured that “this is a normal consequence of suddenly changing your diet”, as your body will be used to a certain type of foods.
You will just need time to adjust to the new ingredients you’re introducing to your stomach.
