She may no longer be on our TV screens every night at 9pm, but since taking the Love Island 2022 crown Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has kept us on her toes with her gorgeous beauty looks.

And while fans gushed over her long and bouncy glossy tresses during her time in the villa, she’s been changing up her hairstyles of late – sporting Ariana Grande’s signature high ponytail with a half-up half-down twist for an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine earlier this week.

Her hairdresser Carl Bembridge, who also styles the likes of past Islanders Molly-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins, created the look using SWAY 22” Seamless Clip In Extensions in the shade Mochaccino Melt.

“The actual seam on top of the clip-ins is so flat, therefore it's perfect for hair up or hair down looks,” Carl said of the extensions, adding that he “loved the seamless finish”.

This sleek half-up ‘do is clearly a new go-to style for Ekin, as she also shared the look to her Instagram feed in a new post on Wednesday, much to the delight of her 2.7 million followers.

"Looking beaut Ekin," one gushed, as another hailed her "the gorgeous-est".

"WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO BE SO FITTT ALL THE TIME?" a third demanded.

If you want to recreate the look using these clip-ins, the brand has a few failsafe tips to get you started. Firstly, make sure you have the exact colour match, then softly backcomb the roots before applying and apply a small amount of hairspray, as this will give your clip-ins more hold.

If your hair is shorter, to avoid sections popping out from under the extensions SWAY advises: "Twist the bottom section of your hair and pin it into a smaller bun; this will limit movement and you can then hide this by clipping your first row on top of this section."

As well as using an extension-friendly brush, like a paddle, use a sulphate-free shampoo when washing your clip-ins.

For most of her time in the Love Island villa Ekin favoured loose and bouncy curls, but she changed this up massively for the night of live final, instead opting for loose mermaid waves – a look we’re calling the modern take on crimped hair.

Hairdresser Ryan Steedman, artistic director at Adam Reed London, was the man behind Ekin’s hair for the grand finale and some kind of wand or beach waver tool was clearly involved.

As per usual, Twitter was ablaze with comments praising our eventual winner’s hairstyle. "I’m gonna need Ekin-Su to drop a hair tutorial for these amazing tousled waves," one wrote during the final, as a second agreed, "Ekin-Su’s hair looks amazing, she looks like a mermaid, so stunning.”

Keep the hot hairstyles coming, Ekin.
