Engaged man took sex doll girlfriend on ‘family holiday’ to meet his mum

A man has relationship with his realistic sex doll – even bringing her to his mother's to spend Christmas as a family last year.

It was the first time Rod had taken his beloved toy, named Karina to a family gathering – and it wasn’t quite smooth sailing.

Although Rod sees Karina as a regular person, his mum needed some time to get used to her presence.

Rod hadn’t had a physical relationship for several years Rod began searching the internet looking for sexual stimulation tools.

Despite never seeing a sex doll in real life, he hit order and bought Karina from Sex Doll Australia – the country's largest provider – during the pandemic.

The device set Rod back $3,000 AUD (roughly £1,666) – and he claims the purchase has been life-changing.

Speaking to Mamamia, he said: "The doll became my synthetic physical companion. I had something to care for in my life.

"I thought it would be a fun experience, and I needed a hobby to distract me from my isolation.

“Slowly my heart opened up, and I was distracted from my grief of losing my ex that just wouldn't go away by itself.”

He has grown to love the doll so much he has purchased a second doll, with a discount for returning customers, for $2,900 AUD (roughly £1,619).

Though he occasionally gets a few funny looks when he takes his dolls out into the world, he simply explains the relationship to baffled strangers.

He added: “I found people to be amazed more than anything.

"These modern dolls are very realistic and beautiful, and people who meet my dolls usually love them."

Rod dotes on his dolls – bathing them, buying them clothes and dressing them up, taking photographs of them.

He claims that his relationships with his dolls have actually improved his people skills and have allowed him to make more friends.
