WITH Antonio Conte gone, Spurs must quickly return to winning ways if they are to claim a top-four finish. The good news is they have a great record against Everton.

Different people will place different weight on head-to-head records but what we can certainly say ahead of this game is that Tottenham are a bogey team for Everton.
The Toffees have beaten Spurs just once in the Premier League in the past decade – and even that was in north London.
Those who suggest there will be no mental baggage being carried by Everton here may well be happy to back them.
After all, they’ve won three of their four home games since Sean Dyche replaced Frank Lampard – notably 1-0 each time.
It also looks a potentially good time to be playing Spurs.
Antonio Conte was finally sacked last week and replaced by his assistant Cristian Stellini, a move which very much looks like a stop-gap measure.
Given his appointment came during the international break, Stellini hasn’t had much time to implement his own ideas and you wonder how much will have changed. Will we really see a much more attack-oriented side that the Spurs fans have been crying out for?
In short, Spurs look hard to trust here at 6/5. They’ve already played seven of the nine relegation contenders away from home and have failed to win four of those matches.
Unfortunately, it’s also hard to be confident about Everton’s chances.
In eight games against the top six, the Blues have managed just three goals, although among those matches is a 1-0 win at Goodison against Arsenal.
Their defence has tightened up under Dyche – only two goals conceded in four home games – but James Tarkowski et al will be concerned by the prospect of facing Harry Kane, a player who has a field day on more than one occasion against Everton.
Only Leicester have conceded more goals to Kane than Everton and it may well be worthwhile focusing more on the sub-markets in this game rather than the overall outcome.

With six of Everton’s 14 home games having seen no first-half goals at all, this looks a solid-enough play.

Cristian Romero to be carded
Romero has been described as a walking yellow card in some quarters and while his record isn’t as bad as some, it’s definitely a bit of a surprise to see him on offer at 3/1 in this market.
The Argentine World Cup winner has been carded in eight of 25 starts for Spurs this season – this after collecting 11 in his first Spurs campaign – and is certainly prone to a rash challenge or late lunge.
It’s not difficult to see the Goodison Park crowd getting under his skin, especially if things aren’t going well for the visitors.
Ref David Coote is just shy of the league average for cards but he did book Romero the only previous time their paths crossed.

Harry Kane to score at any time
Kane has been a thorn in the side of many Premier League clubs but he’s produced a particularly deep wound at Everton.
He’s scored 15 goals in 16 games against the Toffees, a record which includes six braces.
Three of those have come in his last four visits to Goodison so there looks sure to be some interest in him scoring 2+ again at 7/1.
However, Everton have improved defensively, certainly at home, under Sean Dyche and given this could be a low-scoring game, the anytime option looks better at 13/10.
Fresh from scoring in both England games – and setting a new record for the Three Lions – Kane looks capable of extending his fine record in this fixture.
