Three BBC EastEnders theories: shock murder plot and devastating separation | The Sun

WALLS are finally closing in on Theo Hawthorne as Stacey Slater figures out what he's really been up to.

But with her murderous past in mind, could the EastEnders favourite come for blood? Get the lowdown on the potential drama.

1. Murder twist

The creepy teacher portrayed by William Ellis became infatuated and, eventually, obsessed with Stacey Slater after spotting her online on Secret Cam.

To get closer to her, Theo decided to go through her pregnant thirteen-year-old daughter Lily Slater by most notably offering her a brand new pair of trainers and free tutoring.

A cash-strapped Stacey (played by Lacey Turner) was over the moon to have Theo supporting her, blissfully unaware of his twisted intentions towards her.

She was then devastated to find out somebody had it in for her and was stalking her – but her mystery admirer is none other than Theo who has felt angry for being rejected by her.

But while Stacey ignored all the warning signs, Martin Fowler (James Bye) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) are slowly catching on.

Coming up on BBC One, Theo is convinced he can take his relationship with Stacey to the next level as he celebrates his new job with her at No.31.

Elsewhere, Eve and Martin are horrified when they learn more about Theo and confirm he is Stacey's stalker.

Meanwhile, an oblivious Stacey tends to Lily (Lillia Turner), who isn't feeling well, as Theo intercepts Martin's warning messages on her phone.

Realising his time is up, Theo hides Stacey's phone before revealing all – and fear sets in for Stacey as she tries to find a way to get him out of the house while Lily's waters break.

Stacey's mother Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) arrives to discover that Lily is in full-blown labour, and with the ambulance delayed, the pair prepare to help Lily deliver the baby at home.

One viewer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their theory on how Stacey will end her stalking ordeal.

Is she ready to kill Theo?

"If Stacey can brutally kill Archie with The Queen Vic bust, attack Phil with a wrench surely she's more than capable of defending herself & her family against Theo?", they penned.

"Plenty of knives in the kitchen after all no? Also why doesn't she just run out the other door?"

How will she handle it?

2. Former flames reconcile

All hell broke loose within the Beale family when Bobby Beale broke the news that his grandmother Kathy (played by Gillian Taylforth) was ready to sell Beale's Plaice.

Peter Beale (Thomas Law) rocked up Walford after hearing the news and he was quickly followed by his mother Cindy (Michelle Collins) and father Ian (Adam Woodyatt).

This week, Ian tries to get his hands back on the family business and turns to Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) for help.

However, many viewers are expecting him to build bridges with his former wife and friend, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) – and her reputation as a fierce businesswoman herself may come in handy to Ian.

The blonde bombshell tried to poison Ian in later 2020 after learning about his involvement in her son Dennis' death earlier on in the year.

This led to Ian fleeing the Square in early 2021.

Will they ever be able to put the past behind them?

3. Ben loses Lexi

Elsewhere in Albert Square, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is trying to adapt to his life as a single parent after the death of Lola Pearce.

The beloved hairstylist succumbed to a terminal brain tumour, leaving her daughter Lexi in Ben's care – but he's benefitting from the help of Lola's widower, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick).

But behind closed doors, Ben has struggled to adapt to the pressure and taken control of the only thing he could – his food intake.

Ben has been battling with an eating disorder with binging and purging becoming part of his daily routine.

This week, Lexi (Isabella Brown) is getting ready for her first day of secondary school and the change is triggering for Ben.

Ben goes through an emotional day as the duo go over what's to come for the young girl.

Later on, Ben is unable to cope with Lexi's new routine and heads to The Vic to drown his sorrows.

However, he's soon summoned by his husband Callum Highway (Tony Clay) to comfort his daughter.

Ben arrives home and encourages Lexi to open up as she begins to get excited about her first day of school.

In later scenes, Callum worries for his other half but Ben insists he's doing fine.

With Ben finding it hard to cope, viewers have speculated he could be losing his daughter.

One theory suggests that Emma Harding, Lola's estranged mother, will return with the sole purpose of taking Lexi away with her.

"I wonder if Lola reached out to Emma before she died saying she would like her in Lexi’s life in some way. I could see Lola trying to make sure that Lexi has another woman she could talk to", one viewer wrote.

A second responded: "Am I the only one who doesn’t trust Emma? I wonder if she’s planning to snatch Lexi?"

Emma Harding, played by Patsy Kensit, left Albert Square once she realised Lola's illness was too much for her to handle despite both women reconnecting and making up for lost time.
