A woman has flaunted her bloated tummy to try and teach women that "comparison is the thief of joy".

But, in a more recent post, she's shared two pictures of herself side-by-side that were taken on the same day in a bid to promote body positivity.

One shows her looking super toned, lean and poised and the other exposes her posing naturally with a fuller tummy.

She posted the comparison snaps to try and help remind women that it's perfectly normal for bodies to fluctuate in minutes due to bloating.

In the series of posts, she said: "Being bloated is the most uninteresting thing about you.

"Whether you're bloated or not bloated your body is still beautiful, enough, amazing.

"Don't compare yourself to someone's highlight reel.

"Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on you."

Her upbeat and positive posts remind women that Instagram only shows a fragment of someone's life.

The candid images were shared to remind people that we only get to see a glimpse of the highlights on social media, and she says this is why she thinks we need to learn to stop comparing ourselves to others.

Writing on Instagram, Liz added: "Same body, one day apart.

"Both me, both happy, both healthy.

"I haven’t put on weight or ruined my progress, the only difference is, is that I’m bloated in one of them because of hormones.

"The way your body looks will change. Do not let if affect your worth."

Many people have praised Liz's words since she posted the series of pictures and quotes.

Several people have liked the pictures, and dozens have also left comments.

One person said: "It actually looks super cute when you're bloated, really."

A second commented: "Thank you for the reminder. Needed this today."

A third added: "Love this. Had one of the bloated days yesterday so this is a much needed reminder today."
