It’s Friday, and one star sign has a strong urge to escape familiar faces today, while another will be in the right place to watch an interesting drama unfold.

There are 12 zodiac signs – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces – and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.

These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

You’re in the right place to watch an interesting drama unfold. A celebratory moment will be one you will never forget. You will witness some incredible scenes. There will be some tension but it will be worth it for the joy and disbelief experienced later.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

You feel more confident about defending your choices and opinions and you will challenge others whose views differ from yours. While you might struggle a bit with details, you will get your message across to those who need to hear it. Your high energy levels are useful if you’re in the process of setting a new project in motion.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

Business and pleasure will not be a happy mix. Joining forces with a friend on a money making venture may not go too well. For now you will keep your feelings to yourself but you are starting to realise the pair of you aren’t as compatible as you first thought.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23)

A friend or neighbour is trying to be helpful but their constant advice and intervention is starting to feel like an intrusion. When this interferes with your home life and causes rows within the family, it will require all your diplomacy to ease the situation.

Leo (July 24 – Aug 23)

Go with that strong urge to escape familiar places and faces. A change of scenery is essential for your health and emotional wellbeing. There is someone close who will be keen to join you when they could also do with escaping a situation that has become routine.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sept 23)

Confirmation of some future travel plans will give you something exciting to look forward to. You will also be offered a chance to resolve a recent conflict. Someone who argued with you earlier in the week will let you know they regret the disagreement. Agree to let bygones be bygones.

Libra (Sept 24 – Oct 23)

Evidence will be presented that will leave everyone in no doubt about the success of new techniques. Whereas someone’s claims will have been disbelieved at first, examples they bring up to prove what they are saying will cause a surprise reaction. Working with a creative team will be highly stimulating.

Scorpio (Oct 24 – Nov 22)

Get involved with others socially and you could be in for an interesting and entertaining time. A sudden need for change and variety could take you away from familiar places. If you have the opportunity you would enjoy just taking off with a few friends and simply enjoying whatever comes your way.

Sagittarius (Nov 23 – Dec 21)

Others around you may have time on their hands to gossip but you haven’t. You will need to let friends and colleagues know that you have other, important things to get on with. You know your work/life balance is off kilter but for now, there is little you can do about this.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 20)

You’re placing too much emphasis on what other people want while forgetting that your needs are important too. For once, consider your own desires and make your decisions with these in mind. There’s something going on in the background of your life. The time is not quite ripe to bring this out into the open.

Aquarius (Jan 21 – Feb 19)

There are a number of distractions that are keeping you from getting on as normal. It won’t help either when you seem to be expected to be in two places at the same time. A work or study project will suddenly come to a halt which is annoying when so far this has been making good progress.

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

You know what you want to do but you may need a gentle push in the right direction before you make your move. Someone who knows you well also knows exactly how to make you feel more confident about your plans. Swapping gossip later will be fun and amusing.
