How enviable is your kitchen? The most desirable features revealed

Planning a kitchen renovation?

You might want to keep some of the nation’s most desirable features in mind for your plans.

A list of the top kitchen components has been revealed by data analysts at Anne Haimes Interiors – shedding light on what individuals envy the most, in terms of design.

While kitchen interior trends come and go, it’s clear there are some popular features that will stand the test of time – and attract future buyers, when you’re looking to sell.

Topping the list – perhaps for its practicality and sleek design – is an induction hob. Although, it’s clear these aren’t for everyone, as a gas hob scoops the third position.

Either way, those are the two most popular options for cooking.

Sandwiched between those two features is a kitchen island – a common element in most contemporary kitchens and something that works well in both modern and farmhouse-style designs.

Next up on the list is a Belfast sink, which not only looks attractive but is great for hiding washing up. This also plays into the rise of ‘cottagecore’ kitchens.

A wine cooler ranks fifth on the list and there’s no denying it adds a touch of luxury to a kitchen. Plus, these are incredibly handy for entertaining.

Sixth on the list is a pantry which, if you have the square footage, can be a great storage solution.

Two very practical features come next: with a boiling water tap in at number seven, as well as a double oven in eighth place.

Completing the top ten are two aesthetic options: kitchen pendant lighting and quartz countertops.
