How improving your maths skills can positively help your job prospects | The Sun

BUSY parents got the news they were waiting for this week when studies revealed watching TV and gaming can help boost children's brain power.

Studies from the University of Vermont and Portsmouth University both show that screen time can help develop cognitive skills, memory and thinking speed, even for tricky subjects like maths.

Having a good maths qualification at GCSE can earn you around £100,000 extra over your working life, according to the Smith Review of Education.

But one in five Brits failed their maths qualifications, leaving them at a disadvantage when applying for jobs.

So what should you do if you need to improve your maths skills at work?

Here are Sun Jobs top tips to get you started.
