I thought Id won £76million on the lottery — but Id made a mortifying error

A woman was left heartbroken after she thought she had become a multi-millionaire with a winning lottery ticket — but realised she made a 'cringe-worthy' mistake.

Aishwarya was scrolling through Facebook when she saw a post about the £72million lottery draw she'd bought a ticket for.

The Australian woman explained that the post said to check her ticket for 1414 — which she was convinced was her ticket number.

Speaking on social media as @aishranaway, she said: "Guys, so I was just scrolling past Facebook. My heart's f**king racing.

"I was just scrolling past Facebook to see and the power ball popped up because I was in Adelaide and I bought a ticket just cause I was like feeling lucky.

"And the number says draw 1414 and that's the number that f**king won. I think I just f**king won the lottery."

She was ecstatic as she believed she was winning the £72million jackpot and was already thinking about how she was going to splash the cash.

But she soon realised her error as the number was just the number of the draw and not the winning numbers, so she had actually won nothing.

Explaining the bizarre blunder on TikTok, she added: "This is just the number, it's just the number of f**king what draw it is. It's not the actual winning number.

"These are the winning numbers. Like, I'm so f***king dumb. The one-for-one, draw number 14 14, is just the number of the draw. Next week will be 1415."

The woman cackled with laughter at herself as she said she was "going to donate something to charity, buy a house and travel."

She even thought she was going to be able to quit her job — so it's a good thing she double-checked before she did anything rash.

The video has since gained more than 11,700 views with people taking to the comments to poke fun at the hilarious blunder.
