BBC Strictly’s Anton Du Beke sparks fury as viewers all issue the same complaint

Strictly Come Dancing fans shared their frustration at Anton Du Beke after they spotted an annoying habit from the judge.

Anton, 57, joined his fellow judges including head judge Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel-Horwood for Saturday night’s semi-final.

It comes as the remaining four contestants including Layton Williams, Annabel Croft, Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach took to the dancefloor to secure their place in next week’s show final.

However, while they attempted to impress all four judges, viewers watched at home frustrated as they hit out at Anton for not giving appropriate feedback as some people noted on multiple occasions that Anton hadn’t given full sentences to the dancers.

One user wrote: “Does Anton struggle to talk these days?”

While another quizzed: “Anton are you going to finish your sentences tonight?” as a third said: “It’s time Anton finished a sentence.”

Another remarked: “What the hell was that Anton? None of that was coherent feedback for Annabel.”

It comes after Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe performed a sultry salsa to You’ll Be Mine (Party Time) by Gloria Estefan.

When quizzed about his thoughts on their routine, Anton remarked: “I have had a lot of partners that I’ve started sitting down – I’d prefer to have left them there quite frankly.

“When Johannes came out, I went ‘COME ON’,” he commented as the judge stood up from his seat. “Then you went, ‘Oh… this is going to be serious.’.”

Anton then began to emphasise Annabel’s movements by making grunting sounds while flailing his arms in the air, as the bewildered dancing duo listened to the show judge.

He concluded: “Welcome to the semi-final.”

The results show will air on Sunday night and then the final three will find themselves in next week’s show battling it off to see who will take home the glitterball trophy.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results Show airs tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
