Inside Emmerdale’s Nicky actor Lewis Cope’s jet-setting life with glam girlfriend

Lewis Cope is a recent addition to the Emmerdale cast but it hasn't taken long for him to win over fans.

The star plays Nicky, a childminder who succeeded in nabbing a job as a live in nanny at Home Farm in December 2022, and he's been a staple in the Dales ever since.

Things haven't been smooth-sailing for Nicky though as Lewis’s character has already found himself in a couple of sticky situations – including a secret romance with Gabby Thomas.

Plus, fans are convinced he could have ulterior motives for taking the job.

Thankfully, Lewis's life off-screen is significantly less complicated than his character's…

Lewis, who is originally from Hartlepool, has been in a long term relationship with girlfriend Rachel Lopez for six years.

The star often pays tributes to his longtime love, who works as a pilates instructor, on social media.

In one sweet snap, the two can be seen gazing out at the sea while enjoying a gorgeous summer break, which Lewis has captioned: “Thank you for being you.”

The luxury getaway will have come as no surprise to Lewis’ 11,000 Instagram followers, as he’s frequently spotted jet-setting around Europe.

In the past year, the actor has treated himself to trips to Budapest, islands Naxos and Mykonos in Green and Dublin, Ireland.

When he is in the UK, the Hartlepool native enjoys an equally luxurious lifestyle thanks to brand partnerships, and is a regular at swish black tie events.

The actor has worked with David Beckham Eyewear, as well as the former footballer’s fragrance brand, and Calvin Klein.

The star is also a member of Soho House, a club that began in London but has has exclusive venues around the world.

Lewis recently posted about treating himself to a getaway at their countryside club, Soho Farmhouse – which is just minutes from the Beckhams' Costwolds estate and counts Meghan Markle as a fan.

Before joining Emmerdale, he appeared in several stage productions and regularly treated his devoted followers to updates on his theatre work.

His on-stage credits include an adaptation of Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution and Shakespeare’s MacBeth.

He’s also had a few small TV parts, including in long-running BBC series Doctors.
