Made In Chelsea’s original stars now from heartbreaking addiction to royal connection

It’s been over a decade since Made in Chelsea introduced us to a cast of young, glamorous Londoners as they navigated nail-biting drama and scandalous antics – but where are they all now?

For the last 12 years, viewers across the country have watched in awe and horror as the cast gave a glimpse into their lavish and often scandalous lives in Made in Chelsea.

Fans were treated to everything from tears and tantrums, to flirting and enduring romances during the show’s impressive decade long run, and even gave us a sneaky peek inside some of the most exclusive and expensive venues in the capital and overseas.

The show was even responsible for launching the careers of some iconic stars, such as Spencer Matthews and Binky Felstead.

But with only a few of the original cast members still on the show today and several having left to embark on new projects, new romances, or even start families, we take a look back at the stars of Made in Chelsea and ask: where are they now?

Millie Mackintosh

Millie Mackintosh didn’t get off to the best start during the first ever series of MIC, as her perfect romance with boyfriend Hugo Taylor was thrown into chaos when she discovered he had cheated on her with best friend, Rosie Fortescue.

Hurt and wounded by the revelations, the star left in 2012 just one year after the show’s debut – but swiftly went on to prove she was destined for better and brighter things.

Since leaving MIC, Millie has gone on to launch her own clothing brand, her own jewellery line and has even found a lucrative market selling eyelashes, books and even workout videos.

The Quality Street heiress also managed to find love along the way, as she tied the knot with rapper Professor Green in 2013, with the couple enjoying a two and a half year long marriage before filing for divorce.

Following their separation, Millie later went on to rekindle her romance with former flame Hugo, with the pair officially getting married in 2018.

Two years later in May 2020, Millie gave birth to their daughter Sienna, with another baby following in November 2021, little Aurelia Violet.

Spencer Matthews

Known throughout the years as reality TV’s original bad boy, Spencer Matthews caused nothing short of chaos during his time on MIC, with the star repeatedly caught cheating on his girlfriends.

In the first series he got into a love triangle with Caggie Dunlop and Funda Onal, then had a very rocky romance with Louise Thompson – which ended in a lot of tears.

After leaving the show, Spencer went on to star in a number of other reality shows, including the 2015 edition of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, but the star was forced to leave the Jungle after only a few days when he revealed he had been battling with a steroid addiction.

"I screwed up, and have some explaining to do," he candidly admitted.

"My admission to the production team that I was still taking these pills led to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for me to stay in the jungle – a decision which I found extremely hard to stomach," he said during his apology.

After overcoming his addiction, Spencer later went on to compete – and win – the fourth series of The Jump, where he also met his future wife Vogue Williams.

Since tying the knot in June 2018, the couple have welcomed three children, Theo, 4, Gigi, 2 and Otto, 10 months.

As well as starting a family and his continuing reality TV career, Spencer also co-founded a bespoke diamond retailer Eden Rocks and Clean Liquor Company, which sells low alcohol drink.

The star even boasts a royal connection too, after his brother James Matthews married Pippa Middleton in 2017, the sister of the Princess of Wales.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Spencer admitted he doesn’t look back fondly on his time on the series.

"I absolutely hate that I'm even mentioned in the same breath as Made in Chelsea,” he told The Times : “F***ing can't stand it. It's so embarrassing. I was a kid."

Speaking about his TV persona, he added: “I was young and ill-informed and a little bit stupid.”

Stepping away from his reality show beginnings, Spencer is currently preparing for the launch of his new documentary, Finding Michael, which sees him attempt to find the body of his brother, who died at the age of 22 after going missing during an expedition to Mount Everest in 1999.

Hugo Taylor

When Hugo first arrived on our screens during the first series of Made in Chelsea, he was caught up in a nail-biting love triangle between Millie and Rosie.

He left the show in 2012 after three years of delighting audiences, and even headed off to Australia to take part in I’m A Celebrity, where he ultimately came fifth.

After several years apart to mature and re-evaluate what he wanted from life, Hugo rekindled his romance with former flame Millie, with the pair went on to marry and welcome two adorable daughters into the world.

As well as becoming a doting dad, Hugo has continued to appear in various reality shows including Celebrity Wedding Planner and Dinner Date.

He also co-founded the hugely successful sunglasses brand Taylor Morris with his best Charlie Morris.

Binky Felstead

One of the most famous cast members to come out of Made in Chelsea is Binky Felstead, who starred in the show for a whopping 13 series as a regular cast member.

A huge part of the show since it’s very first season, Binky was best known for being the best pal of Ollie Locke and Cheska Hull.

Delighting audiences with her charming personality, Binky also became the first MIC star to welcome a baby in 2017, when she gave birth to baby India, whose dad is fellow former cast member Josh Patterson, better known as JP.

Although the couple have since parted ways, the stars continue to co-parent their little one together, with youngster frequently appearing on both their social media feeds.

Since parting ways, Binky went on to find love with husband and businessman Max Fredrik Darnton, who she married in July 2021.

"It's amazing. To be honest, it felt official when Wolfie was born because of him and India being siblings, but getting married has cemented it," she said of her big day.

Together, the couple also welcomed a child, Wolfie in June 2021, with another also on the way in 2023.

In addition, Binky also successfully launched her fitness brand Mama Being to help other mums on their journey into parenthood.

Francis Boulle

No stranger to all things bling, Francis Boulle was working with diamonds when he first joined the show back in 2011.

Part of the Lost Boys Trio, living with Jamie Laing and Oliver Proudlock, Francis was seen struggling to find love during his time on the show.

After six series, he left to work in Ghana but made a comeback for the 2015 Christmas special and South of France series where he slept with Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo.

He also briefly dated fellow cast member Ashley James, who was pal Ollie Locke's ex.

Since leaving the show, Francis can mostly be found managing online start-up companies, and occasionally co-hosting the Private Parts Podcast with best pal Jamie Laing, which is listened to by millions of people around the world and regularly features celebrity guests.

Caggie Dunlop

Another of the standout stars from series one of MIC, was Caggie Dunlop, who was chased by childhood sweetheart Spencer despite him dating Funda at the time.

Eventually growing tired of their on-off again relationship, Caggie left the show after three series and embarked on a singing career with her debut single I Wish You Knew.

While her music didn't really take off, Caggie now hosts a podcast called Saturn Returns, which is described as aiming to bring clarity and calm to times of transition, underpinned by the astrological transit known as your Saturn Return.

Although unlucky in love on the show, Caggie had no shortage of suitors beyond MIC, and had even previously dated Katie Price's ex Scott Sullivan.

A source had told The Mirror at the time: "Caggie is really into Scott, but she is a Chelsea girl at heart and she’d rather no one knew about his colourful love life.

"He’s a wealthy guy and he has talent but there are too many embarrassing pictures of him leaving clubs with glamour girls for her liking."

After a whirlwind romance the couple soon parted ways, with Scott also later finding love with Caggie’s former love rival Funda, just one year after the split.

Ollie Locke

Ollie Locke experienced a glow-up right before our very eyes as he delighted audiences since series one of the popular reality show.

Originally sporting luscious long black hair and dating Gabriella Ellis in the show’s early days, the couple later parted ways prompting Ollie to come out as bisexual, before later revealing he was gay.

Although he has left the show multiple times over the years, the series regular has always returned much to the delight of his fans.

Outside of MIC, Ollie has also dabbled in several other reality shows, including the 2014 edition of Celebrity Big Brother, where he came third.

He is also the proud co-founder of UK-based gay dating app Chappy.

In 2020, Ollie embarked on a brand new adventure however when he tied the knot with husband Gareth Locke in a extravagant ceremony at the Natural History Museum in front of a small group of guests, including best pal Binky.

The couple had previously admitted they were keen to try for a baby with a surrogate, before excitedly revealing that after three years of work, the couple were expecting twins via surrogate in 2023.

Louise Thompson

Another of the fan favourite stars to come out of the show is Louise Thompson, who popped up for the first time in series one before later going on to become a series regular in season two after proving to be a hit with viewers.

During her time on the show, Louise became one of the standout Chelsea residents as the show explored her often turbulent relationship with Spencer, including multiple cheating scandals.

However, although her romance with Spencer wasn’t meant to be, Louise did find love with fellow cast-mate Ryan Libbey, with the couple currently engaged.

Louise left Made in Chelsea in 2019 after eight years on our screens and is known for her fitness brand Live Like Louise, but her brother Sam is still going strong on the show.

The couple welcomed their first child together in November 2021, after having previously suffered a devastating miscarriage.

Although the arrival of son Leo-Hunter was a blessing to be celebrated, it hadn’t come without it’s own gruelling toll, as Louise previously revealed she had suffered from a traumatic birth and experienced PTSD as a result.

Louise spent a month in intensive care after Leo was born and has since suffered from panic attacks, depression and PTSD, amongst other physical and mental health issues.

However in an update shared earlier this year, she admitted she is now feeling in a better headspace and slowly recovering.

Cheska Hull

Once best friends with Binky and Ollie in the earlier days of the show, Cheska Hull most famously got into a very heated dinner table clash with Victoria Baker-Harber.

Since leaving the show in 2014, Cheska swapped the grandeur of Chelsea for a quiet life in Devon where she co-owns a boutique with her mum.

The star is also a proud single mum to son Charlie, who she gave birth to in 2018.

Since leaving the bustling city and her TV career behind, Cheska admitted that she is now "much happier" after her former lifestyle caused her depression and anxiety.

Speaking to Grazia in 2018, Cheska also revealed that her loved ones had begged her to leave the show as it was affecting her so badly, they were terrified of what she could do next.

"I was so low, I felt I couldn't film, but I'd signed a contract. There were days I couldn't get out of bed. I would dread the thought of walking down the street," she said.

Mark-Francis Vandelli

Best known for his hilarious one liners and savage quips, Mark-Francis was a dose of much needed levity during his time on the show.

An original cast member since day one, Mark-Francis brought his own patented brand of glamour and humour to the show – appearing in every single series of MIC so far.

Despite his longevity on the show, Mark-Francis has managed to stay out of too much drama, even despite being unafraid to say it how it is.

In addition to his time on Made in Chelsea, he also competed in the third series of The Jump in 2016 but was forced to pull out due to an agonising injury on the slopes.

One year later in 2017 he hosted his own MIC spin-off called Mark-Francis' Big Night Out and even appeared on Come Dine With Me in 2020.

Rosie Fortescue

Another star who earned herself a formidable reputation on the show was Rosie Fortescue, who became the villain of the series after being caught up in a love triangle with Hugo and Millie.

Called out in front of all their friends by a furious Millie for what she perceived to be a betrayal of trust, an explosive row soon ensued, but the friends managed to patch things up in the end.

In light of how she was portrayed on screen, Rosie also hinted that the scenes were scripted and urged fans not to believe everything they saw on the show.

Leaving her reality show beginnings behind, Rosie went on to launch her own affordable jewellery line, named Rosie Fortescue, and also works as a model.

Additionally, in 2014 she landed herself a dream interview with Kim Kardashian herself to talk about the world famous star’s collaboration with fashion brand Lipsy.

Funda Onal

Involved in the show’s very first love triangle, Funda Onal soon made a name for herself as a force to be reckoned with as she turned Spencer’s head even despite him having eyes for Caggie at the time.

Testing the couple’s relationship, viewers were treated to some seriously explosive drama as the truth about the triangle and Spencer’s cheating ways soon became apparent, with both ladies vying to win his affection.

After leaving the show at the end of the first series, Funda became a film star, playing a Beauxbatons student in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The model has also appeared in music videos for Calvin Harris, Tinie Tempah and Kid Cudi as well as Nike and Adidas advertising campaigns.

In a further bizarre twist, even after leaving the show, Funda later went on to marry another of Caggie’s ex-boyfriends, Scott Sullivan in 2017.

The couple started dating around a year after Scott split from her former love rival, with the couple even welcoming a child together in 2018.

Gabriella Ellis

First introduced to us as Ollie's singer girlfriend back in the first series, Gabrielle soon became a fan favourite and were heartbroken for the star when Ollie called time on their relationship.

After realising things weren’t working Ollie dumped Gabriella and revealed he was bisexual.

When viewers questioned whether it was a real breakup, she tweeted: "Just to clarify last nights episode was all real the break up was completely real and I wasn’t acting! Thank you for all your support xxx.”

Since leaving the show, Gabriella has swapped London for LA and is still making music today.
