Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling fell in love while on Married At First Sight and have been together ever since. They welcomed their daughter in 2022 and will officially tie the knot at the end of the year during a "romantic and cosy" ceremony.
The MAFS stars, both 27 met at the aisle during the 2021 series and hit it off straight away following an instant connection. "We definitely had that first attraction, absolutely unbelievably and I remember telling producers she was out of my league", Adam recalls.
While Tayah said: "We really found out why we were matched on the honeymoon" during their "memorable and unforgettable" getaway. Throughout the MAFS process, their relationship continued to grow and just a day after filming moved in with each other.
Now the loved-up pair, who welcomed their daughter Beau in October 2022, will officially tie the knot in December. Speaking exclusively to OK! the MAFS couple shared details about their special day, including links to the show and their romantic theme.
Romantic details
Adam said: "I'm really excited about it, it's going to be a magical day, a Christmas wedding and everyone will dressed up in black tie."
"I wanted a really romantic theme, really cosy, so lots of candles, white flowers", Tayah added.
Sharing further details she said: "I've always wanted to walk down the aisle to a violin player so we've got that organised, I think that will just be incredible. She's called Alexandra, she looks so talented and I just think it will be such a magical thing, it's such a romantic instrument."
Log fire venue
When asked if there are any similarities between their MAFS wedding and their upcoming nuptials, Tayah said: "We did want to get married at the same venue as before but we thought when it's in the UK you can never predict the weather.
"Where we are getting married it's all enclosed, all in the same building so no one needs to arrange any travel or go outside in the cold, that's what we loved about the venue.
"The MAFS wedding was outside, which was beautiful, but if we went down that path again if it was a rainy day it would have ruined the ceremony."
Adam went on to add that they're tying the knot at a "big old stately home" and said, "As soon as went to look around we knew straight away, it's really beautiful."
"It's got log fires the place we're getting married in so if people are chilly they can sit with a glass of wine by the log fire", Tayah added.
Velvet suits and black tie
Talking about what everyone will wearing Tayah said: "We don't have too much of a colour theme, but we've gone down the velvet suit, black tie route.
"Bridesmaid dresses are like a sage colour, they were going to go for different styles but when they tried them on they all loved the same one.
"I said to my bridesmaids 'For me, the most important thing is that you're comfortable and you love the dress you wear'.
"But ironically they all loved the same colour and the same dress so it worked out really well."
'Bougie' wedding dress
Looking for her wedding dress ahead of the big day, Tayah took along her mum and sister which was "amazing" and said yes to the dress after visiting just one shop. "I actually only went to one bridal shop with the full intention of not finding a wedding dress in the first place I went to. But I tried on around six dresses and the fourth dress I tried on we all thought 'this is the one,'" Tayah explained.
"It's just me all over and completely different to my MAFS dress."
The 27 year old said for her MAFS wedding she opted for a "simple and elegant wedding dress" as she wanted to go for something a little more "understated as to not take away" from her "actual wedding day". Providing a hint of what her next wedding dress is like without giving anything away to her groom, Tayah said: "It's more bougie."
Bridesmaids and groomsmen
"I've got three bridesmaids – my maid of honour who is my sister, Emily, my best friend Charlotte who was my bridesmaid for my MAFS wedding and my sister in law, Caitlin who is Adam's brother's partner," Tayah said.
The bride will also have their one year old daughter Beau as her flower girl and said "Hopefully will be walking by then" as she added: "I'd like to have her maybe carry the rings down the aisle but we'll probably play it by ear and see what she's like."
Asking the couple how many are in the groom's party Tayah joked: "This is a completely different story," while Adam added: "I've got an army of them."
"Basically all of Adam's guests are groomsmen," the bride joked.
"I've got eight," Adam explained. "I've got my two brothers and six of my friends as well and my dad, Mick is going to be the best man again." His dad was also his best man at his MAFS wedding.
Guestlist
"We've got 80 guests for our wedding and few of the cast members are coming to the evening of our wedding including Maz, Franky, Bob, Amy and Megan," the bride exclusively told OK!
"Alexis was going to come but unfortunately can't because I think she's coming back from holiday.
"It'll be special to be together again, at a wedding."
Asking if their MAFS wedding takes away the nerves from their official wedding day later this year they both agreed "yes". Explaining this Adam said: "I think because we've it in a more pressured environment and this is the homecoming."
"Actually making it legal", Tayah added. "I'm more excited, I'm not nervous in the slightest and I think that's down to the show.
"This wedding will be a lot more special, we could only have six people at our MAFS wedding so I'm looking forward to having all of our friends and family in the same room celebrating such a magical day".
Adam added: "I will 100% cry when Tayah and Beau walk down the aisle, if I think about it too much I almost tear up.
"I'm most looking forward to seeing Tayah in her dress."
